Ruff consistently was hitting receivers in stride and throwing the best balls of the day.
His release is quick and he was able to fit the ball into tight windows during individual drills and the one-on-one period. The ball jumps out of his hands and he took somewhat of a leadership role at the camp.
Ruff has drawn some interest from Ivy League schools and with the new coaching staff at St. Margaret’s has the tools to be a college quarterback.
Amina was hands down the best middle school quarterback at the camp and in my opinion was a top three quarterback overall.
He’s built very well for his age and had the confidence to compete alongside much bigger and older quarterbacks. His release is smooth and he has good accuracy on the intermediate level throws.
Miali was the tallest quarterback at the camp and in moments was the top quarterback in attendance.
He has some zip on the shorter throws and was one of the more accurate passers. His arm strength could improve a bit and there were a few reps where he wasn’t throwing his best passes. But he had more good reps than bad reps which is why he made the top five.
Highlights
Banua looked better on Sunday than he did at the Stock Up Showcase in January.
His release is quick and he can throw from different arm angles when needed. There were moments where he was throwing some of the most accurate balls at the camp.
Banua’s timing was good with many of the receivers who he had never thrown with prior to Sunday.
Green is another guy that improved since the January Stock Up Showcase.
He has a sidearm delivery so his release is lower than a lot of quarterbacks but his arm strength has improved. He was fitting the ball into tight windows near the sidelines during some of the reps on Sunday.
Green has a guy in front of him on the Capo quarterback depth chart so he has some work to do to get playing time, but he is steadily improving.
Highlights
Ortiz was a quarterback I had never seen until Sunday.
He was not the most consistent quarterback at the camp but he was making the right decisions during the individual drills and threw some of the best deep passes of anyone at the camp.
Ortiz could put on some size and work on some things, but he has a solid foundation and the arm strength is promising.
