Offseason Outlooks: North Schuylkill Spartans

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2022</strong> <strong>Recap</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Head Coach: </strong>Walter Hall</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Next up in our offseason outlook series is the North Schuylkill Spartans of the Colonial-Schuylkill Conference. The Spartans, one of the best teams consistently in the conference in the AAA class was once again outstanding in 2022. The Spartans went 10-3 on the season including 9-1 in conference play while outscoring their opponents 452-202, an average score of 34.7 to 15.5. After starting their season with a 25-17 loss to Mount Carmel, the Spartans would bounce back winning 10 of their 12 remaining games, many in dominating fashion including three shutout victories. Their season would ultimately come to an end in November in a 34-14 loss to Northwestern Lehigh. Key players like [player_tooltip player_id='255943' first='Joey' last='Flail'], [player_tooltip player_id='377384' first='Jaxson' last='Chowansky'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1077298' first='Trevor' last='Minalda'] should lead a potent and highly dangerous offense for the Spartans while [player_tooltip player_id='529072' first='Collin' last='McGee'] will be the leader of their defense this upcoming season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There's very little doubt in our mind that the Spartans won't be one of the top teams in the conference this upcoming fall. The program has been a model of consistency for much of this millennium and has been completely dominant over the last decade. They have produced some of the best players to come through the conference throughout the last decade as well and have several members on their roster for next fall who have great upside as well. We fully expect the Spartans to be competing for a conference and district title once again in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
