This Sunday, our tour will be making a stop at Saint Xavier High School in Louisville, Kentucky. With an impressive list of talented players signed up for the event, I wanted to focus on some key players on both sides of the ball to keep an eye on. With that being said, I will kick things off with some key players to watch on the offensive side of the ball at our Prep Redzone Kentucky Prospect Tour Showcase.
Trey Cotton Trey Cotton 6’1″ | 180 lbs | ATH Chrisitian Academy of Louisville | 2025 State KY is a player that is highly ranked in our 2025 rankings that I’m very excited to watch in person this weekend. He finished his sophomore season as CAL’s leading receiver, catching 51 passes for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns. Cotton is a smooth route runner on the outside with the ability to create separation from defensive backs. He also has a high catch radius, showing the ability to go up and catch the ball at its highest point. After the catch, Cotton is very dangerous in the open field, showing the elusiveness to make defenders miss. Trey is also a very reliable safety that could easily play on that side of the ball at the next level as well. Cotton currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.
Cameron Jessee Cameron Jessee 6’2″ | 230 lbs | ATH Louisville DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY is a player that recently jumped onto our radar. He had a strong sophomore season, finishing with 11 receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns. In the passing game, Jessee is able to use his speed to his advantage to create separation and pick up yards after the catch. He also has very reliable hands. Jessee is also a very reliable blocker in the run game, showing the ability to drive his man off the line of scrimmage and finish his blocks with a ton of physicality. Cameron recently picked up his first offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is an impressive talent that is on the rise.
Highlights
Evan Miller Evan Miller 6’3″ | 300 lbs | OL Breathitt County | 2024 State KY is a talented offensive lineman that jumped onto my radar this past season. He leads the Breathitt County offense as their starting center. Miller is a very impressive run blocker, showing the ability to snap the ball quickly and drive his man off the line of scrimmage with a sense of urgency. He plays with a ton of physicality, finishing his blocks through the whistle, resulting in several pancake blocks. Evan currently holds one offer from Union College but I expect more to come his way going into his senior year as he has the talent to be a very reliable center at the next level.

Another talented player in the incoming junior class that will be attending our camp is Taylor County’s Peyton Smith Peyton Smith 5’11” | 190 lbs | RB Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY . Smith debuted as the third ranked running back in our recently released 2025 rankings after a strong sophomore season. In just seven games played, Smith finished this past season with 107 carries for 1,243 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has very impressive vision as a ball carrier, showing the ability to find open running lanes quickly. Once he hits the open field, Smith has the strength to break tackles without losing stride and also has the speed to run away from the defense. Smith has also shown the ability to catch passes out of the backfield, catching two touchdown passes this past season. Peyton currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber running back prospect.
Highlights
Trevor Havill Trevor Havill 6’5″ | 190 lbs | QB Avon Old Farm | 2025 NewE is a quarterback prospect that we’ve had on our radar for a while now. He had a solid junior year, completing 81/135 passes for 1,006 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Havill has great ball placement in his passes, showing the ability to put the ball where only his intended receiver can get to it. He also has a very strong arm, showing the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. Trevor has also shown that he can make plays with his legs, scoring four rushing touchdowns last season. Havill is currently committed to play lacrosse at Ohio State but definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the college level if he were to have a change of heart.
Highlights
Another talented quarterback from the class of 2024 that will be attending our camp is Logan Verax Logan Verax 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Ryle | 2024 State KY from Ryle. Verax had a solid junior year, completing 155/290 passes for 2,018 yards,17 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions. He throws an impressive deep ball, using his strong arm to lead his receivers down the field. Logan also shows an impressive ability to escape the pocket and keep his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Verax also finished this past season as Ryle’s leading rusher, running the ball 138 times for 605 yards and 12 touchdowns. While he doesn’t currently hold any offers, Verax should definitely be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on going into his senior year.
Highlights
Brody Phelps Brody Phelps 6’3″ | 295 lbs | OL McCracken County | 2024 State KY is another talented offensive lineman that I’m looking forward to seeing in person this weekend. Phelps is the starting left tackle for an impressive McCracken County offensive line unit. I really like his ability to pick up blocks in open space, whether it is as a puller or simply getting up to the second level. Once he gets into open space, Phelps destroys anything in his path as a blocker. He is also impressive as an in-line blocker, showing the ability to explode out of his stance and drive his man off the line of scrimmage. Brody currently holds an offer from Murray State and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year as he definitely has the talent to play at the next level.
Xavier Crawley Xavier Crawley 6’4″ | 310 lbs | OL Kentucky Country Day | 2025 State KY is an incoming junior offensive lineman that recently jumped onto my radar. Crawley lines up at left tackle and is very reliable in pass protection. He has good footwork which he uses to effectively mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge. Crawley also has a very strong initial punch that knocks defenders off their feet very frequently. In the run game, he has shown the ability to drive his man off the line of scrimmage and finish his blocks through the whistle. Xavier doesn’t currently hold any offers but will definitely be a name to watch heading into his junior season as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
Highlights
Brooks Kerwin Brooks Kerwin 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Lexington Christian Academy | 2025 State KY is another talented offensive lineman from the class of 2025 that I’m excited to watch this weekend. Kerwin is the starting left guard for the Eagles and is a mauler in the run game, exploding out of his stance and driving his man down the field. He also has shown an impressive ability to pull and pick up blocks in open space as a lead blocker. Kerwin doesn’t currently hold any offers but he will be a name to watch as he will continue to be a key piece to a high-powered LCA offense over the next two seasons.
Highlights
Luke Tompkins Luke Tompkins 5’11” | 175 lbs | WR North Oldham | 2026 State KY is a talented young athlete that is coming off an impressive freshman season. He did most of his damage as a freshman at receiver, catching 16 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns. Tompkins lines up on the outside and is able to use his quick release to create initial separation from opposing defensive backs. He is a very reliable deep threat, using his speed to blow by his defender while also showing the ability to track the ball over his shoulder to make catches without breaking stride. While Luke doesn’t currently hold any offers, he will be a name to watch over the next few seasons as his role in the offense continues to grow.
