Marking Period’s Top Testers, PA Prospects Excelling in Class
In this article:
We start with a Division One level prospect putting up Division One level grades. I’m familiar with Sammy Ayache Sammy Ayache 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Bethlehem Catholic | 2024 State PA off the field, so I’m hardly surprised to see the young man dominate the classroom. Ayache also does a great job showcasing to college coaches just how special of a student he is at Bethlehem Catholic. Again, not surprised, just talk to the young man and you won’t be either.
90+’s across the board this quarter. Pretty much goes for his first two quarters earlier in the year. Ayache is holding a 3.9 GPA steadily. 1st-honors throughout the way as well.

Stephen Tracanna Stephen Tracanna 6’0″ | 195 lbs | LB Perkiomen Valley | 2024 State PA has put in work this marking period. Formerly out of Germantown Academy, now at Perkiomen Valley, the soon-to-be senior linebacker has posted a 4.27 MP GPA. I’ve had opportunities to speak with Tracanna in the past, whether that be at games or camps. I have a personal understanding of how seriously he takes all things football. Seeing these scores off the field only further delivers my point, the kid has his mind right. Excited to see what’s next for him at a new home.
Jerry Davis Jerry Davis 5’10” | 160 lbs | ATH Greensburg Central Catholic | 2026 State PA , a pass-catcher with whom I’m all too familiar, has put together a great first year at Serra Catholic. 4.168 GPA after three quarters. Gold Honor Roll status, attendance in order. I’m excited to see what kind of football prospect Davis blossoms into moving forward. Now, I’m equally intrigued to see if he can keep up these scores in the classroom well throughout the next four years. Confident he can do so.

Lower Merion’s Andrew Cook Andrew Cook 5’11” | 215 lbs | LB Lower Merion | 2024 State PA is on watchlist for his efforts on the field. I have to make sure I represent his game correctly next update, excited to do so. Cook responded to my grades tweet with a whopping official transcript.
4.34 weighted GPA. Credit count looks solid, as are his course levels. His transcript and work in the books will leave a lasting impression on me. Excited to get to a Lower Merion game this Fall as well.
I am honestly more excited about discovering a 6’2 TE/DE prospect that plays just outside my neighborhood, on a team I cover all Fall. Brandon Davis Brandon Davis 6’0″ | 195 lbs | DL Bonner Prendie | 2024 State PA is a prospect I have to dissect a bit further, yet he comes leaving a great first impression.
4.81 GPA for the soon-to-be senior. Nothing short of a 90 this past quarter, stacked on top of great scores all throughout the year. Great remarks from teachers.
We love to talk about rankings, how about Ethan Sgrignoli Ethan Sgrignoli 5’7″ | 175 lbs | ATH Eastern York | 2026 State PA ranking inside the top 30 of his class consisting of about 200 students. That’s a much more impressive and meaningful number than anything I could give the kid. 4.04 GPA (CU). Sgrignoli is fresh into HS, earning recognition for his work on and off the field. Excited to continue seeing him progress as a young man.

High Honor Roll honors for each of the last three terms. Tavares posted no less than a 94.13 GPA within the same time frame. Good attendance, good class diversity. Outstanding third and fourth quarter put up by top-200 prospect Luke Ellor Luke Ellor 6’1″ | 260 lbs | OL Spring-Ford | 2024 State PA . Sping-Ford is a program that I’ve got circled to visit sometime this offseason, I know I’ll be meeting a focused and driven Luke Ellor Luke Ellor 6’1″ | 260 lbs | OL Spring-Ford | 2024 State PA , who has scored no less than a 92 in classes through the last two quarters.
4.0 UW/GPA.
Trevor Popeck, who I’ll be seeing in a couple of weeks, has dominated the classroom this semester. I’m becoming quite familiar with the young man both on and off the field, so seeing him post a 4.3 GPA and 95+’s across the board doesn’t surprise me in the least. The young man still deserves his flowers. AP Physics, ADV Trig, all proving to be a piece of cake. What’s even better, Popeck and his family have started their own nonprofit foundation, “The Trevor Popeck Foundation”, to help raise money for those in need of medical bill relief. The young man dives deeper into his story and cause below, I’ll let him share his message.
