G7 QB/WR BootCamp Standouts – Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I was invited by Coach Chad Grier for a combine of quarterbacks and wide receivers. I take it as an honor when you receive an invitation from one of the top QB Coaches in the country to evaluate players at his combine. There were over 40 prospects who participated in the combine at Providence Day HS. The two-part review covers prospects who caught my attention throughout the combine. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='690769' first='Gannon' last='Jones'] - QB, 5'8" 145 (No. 13 QB, Watchlist), Cardinal Gibbons HS</strong>. Gannon had a fluid arm movement with follow through on his throws. He displayed good footwork and mobility to move around in the pocket and complete throws. Gannon displayed good arm strength and good ball velocity on short and medium range throws which were on target. The 2026 prospect is a talented, young quarterback who will continue to improve his skillset during offseason training and participation in Summer Prospect Camps.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='800904' first='Tre' last='Robinson'] - QB, 5'11" 180 (No. 18 QB, No. 87 Overall), Mallard Creek HS</strong>. Tre displayed athleticism and precision footwork while participating in agility drills. He displayed solid mechanics while completing accurate throws on target. He displayed good arm strength and good ball velocity on medium range throws. Tre ran one of the fastest 5-10-5 shuttle runs in the quarterback group. He was clearly the top QB in the group. The 2024 prospect should start to generate recruiting interest as he participates in Summer Prospect Camps.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='800914' first='Zaid' last='Lott'] - QB, 6'2" 165 (No. 13 QB, Watchlist), Providence Day HS</strong>. Zaid had a fluid arm with complete follow through on his throws throughout the combine. He displayed good arm strength and good ball velocity on short and medium range throws on target. He moved well in the pocket and delivered accurate throws on target. Zaid had the strongest arm of the QB group. The 2025 prospect is a talented, young quarterback who will continue to improve his skillset during offseason training and participation in Summer Prospect Camps.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='147623' first='Channing' last='Goodwin'] - WR, 6'1" 180 (No. 3 WR, No. 4 Overall), Providence Day HS</strong>. Channing ran precision pass routes and displayed solid hands during catches throughout the combine. He displayed exceptional speed while running pass route drills. He ran one of the fastest 5-10-5 shuttle runs in the WR group. Channing was clearly the top receiver in the WR group. The 2024 prospect has received several Power5 and D1 offers, more are expected to come in for him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='800901' first='Gordon' last='Sellars'] - WR, 6'2" 180 (No. 2 WR, No. 2 Overall), Providence Day HS</strong>. Gordon ran good pass routes and displayed good hands during catches throughout the combine. He displayed good speed and athleticism while participating in the agility drills. The 2026 prospect is a talented, young wide receiver who will continue to improve his skillset during offseason training and participation in Summer Prospect Camps. He has received a Power5 offer, more are expected to follow throughout his high school career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
