– An All-Ontario (Canada) offensive lineman that played up with the U18 team, he has reclassed to 2027 and will be attending high school at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts
– The obvious wow is the size and frame on him. Standing somewhere between 6-foot-5 and 6-foot-7 and in the 260-to-270-pound range is elite size. Absolutely ideal for a future big-time Offensive Tackle
– Watching his film, he “got away with” throwing a lot defensive linemen to the ground that came in under control. Needs to work on sitting in his stance and staying lower. Foot work shows flashes of being pretty at time, but didn’t see any kick slides. The key word for Burns is potential. Has all the physical tools you could ask for and can’t wait to see him tie it all together
– Depending on where you look, he’s listed between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot and somewhere around 150 pounds, which is pretty good size for an eighth-grade quarterback
– Where Campbell’s bread is buttered, is his impressive dual-threat ability. Models his game after Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M years) and holds the Briarwood Christian Middle School record with a verified 11.67 in the 100M
– He’ll be off to Briarwood Christian High School in Birmingham, Alabama for the fall. The varsity progam had a rough 3-7 season this pats year, its worst record since 2015. The Lions will also be looking to replace Clemson-bound QB Christopher Vizzina
– One of the best pass-rushers that I’ve seen in Northern California for this 2027 class
– Does a phenomenal job of defeating blocks and getting up field quickly, yet under control. His length and overall quickness as an Edge/Defensive End make him a tough assignment for an Offensive Tackle if there isn’t a back to help chip with a block
– Possibly an even better basketball player than he is football player–which is scary. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound dual-sport athlete will be at Archbishop Riordan and should help the Crusaders quest to have a winning season on the gridiron–which they haven’t had since 2015
– In full transparency, I haven’t seen much football in Idaho but I love what I see out of Chamberlin as a Linebacker/Athlete prospect. He’ll be at perennial top-5 in-state program, Rocky Mountain High School
– Comes from athletic bloodlines. His father Jon was an All-American defensive tackle at Southern Oregon and was invited to play in the Hula Bowl Bowl in the late 90s.
– Chamberlin is an athletic Linebacker at a 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds. Is getting thicker and more muscle-strapped by the day. Has played everywhere in pre-high school football but think he’s a Linebacker in the future. I’ll also leave the door open a tiny bit for the possibility of playing Defensive End, depending on how he continues to grow
– The state of Illinois needs to wake up QUICKLY and get familiar with 2027 ATH Myson Johnson-Cook Myson Johnson-Cook 6’2″ | 200 lbs | ATH IL out of Robertson Charter Middle School in Decatur
– Verified at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, he’s an athletic freak with track numbers to back it up. Clocked at a verified, jaw-dropping 11.17 in the 100M this past month and has been timed at a 22.35 in the 200M
– Perhaps the scariest thing about Johnson-Cook, is that he’s getting better and faster each day. Last summer at a Nick Saban Football Camp he was clocked at a 4.75 in the forty, but he’s brought that down to 4.59 in just the eighth-grade. I don’t know what position he’ll end up….but he will ABSOLUTELY get early offers.
– A running back/linebacker prospect out of Lincoln that looks like a future bright spot at middle linebacker in the Cornhusker State
– Had a really good year as a Running Back, easily running over would-be tacklers with his (unverified) 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. However, everything about his game says linebacker long term
– Also throws shotput and is a stud wrestler that went 36-2 on the year, highlighted by a 1st place finish at the AAU State Tournament and a 3rd place finish at the Nebraska USA State Tournament. Look for him to see varsity/starting lineup opportunity in both sports at Lincoln East High School
Highlights
– Has to be near the top, if not at thee top, when it comes to prospects from Hawaii in the class of 2027
– Already holds an offer from BYU and should start to many, many more pop up as he moves into high school. BYU has offered a number of athletes before high school over the last few seasons, so this trend continues
– Already 6-foot-2 and 185-solid pounds, he already looks the part. Has played Wide Receiver, Cornerback, Safety and a little bit of Linebacker up to this point. I expect him to be an early difference-maker at Kahuku High School, the reigning No.1 ranked team in the state
– Summerville, South Carolina linebacker Ethan Woods Ethan Woods 5’10” | 195 lbs | LB SC is a 5-foot-10, 195-pound musclebound prospect that is starting to heat up in terms of next-level attention
– Built like a rock at this point, already squatting 380 pounds. Throws the shot put and also won a South Carolina JV Wrestling State Championship at 182 pounds this past year, while practicing in the varsity room each day
– Told me he’s concentrating on working speed and explosion to help fine-tune his game. For a guy I think will be a middle linebacker in the future, did a good job this past season when asked to cover receivers in the flat or coming up seem. Even got his hands on a few interceptions. Future is bright
