Jay Kanazawa Jay Kanazawa 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Schley County | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Schley County
Kanazawa was one of the more productive QBs in the state as a junior and led Schley County all the way to the state championship. Kanazawa is a smaller QB prospect, but he still shines on film with his quick release and the precision on his passes. He throws each pass with beautiful timing and trajectory, placing the ball to where only his receiver can make a play on the football. He is able to layer the ball over defenders and hit the hole shots downfield. He is a very proficient and accurate passer, but he is also a winner that will add value to the depth chart.
Jake Maxwell – 2024 – Veterans
Small-school QB that exhibits some of the traits that are widely important when evaluating QBs. Maxwell does possess a decent arm with the ability to layer the ball over the defender, showcasing really good ball placement. Where he really shines is his toughness. He stands tall in the pocket and shows that he is willing to take hits. I wouldn’t consider him a runner, but he is scrappy enough to will his way to a first down with his legs. Maxwell showcases some of the tools such as good footwork and ball placement, but he also exhibits the proper intelligence and mentality to operate an offense.
Jared Echols Jared Echols 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Alexander | 2024 GA – 2024 – South Gwinnett
In my opinion, Echols is one of the most slept on QBs in Georgia and possesses legit FBS caliber tools. On film, he looks incredibly smooth while operating and is a good athlete. The ball flies naturally out of his smooth release and delivery, showing excellent touch on his throws. Showcases plenty of confidence in his receivers by giving them chances to make plays in tight coverage. When he sits back in the pocket and surveys, he can place the ball all over the field with sometimes elite precision. Still, he shows great escapabiltiy in the pocket and has the ability to throw both off-balanced and on the run. If I was a college coach at any level, I would give Echols a long look before I decided to pass up on him.
Jack Stanton – 2024 – Greater Atlanta Christian
Stanton was one of the breakout QBs in the state last season and he has started to climb onto the recruiting radar. Stanton fits the billing of a big QB with a big arm. At 6’4 215, he is surprinsgly smooth and fluid as an athlete. I wouldn’t say he is a runner, but he can keep the play alive when things break down and maneuver in the pocket well. He has a simple and clean delivery with no wasted movement. The ball comes out of his hand naturally and he throws with decent touch and timing. When making throws into the first and second level, he can tighten up and get the ball out quicker to force it into those smaller windows. Stanton has D1 tools and has the production so far to back it up.
Jayden Dooley – 2024 – Mountain View
Dooley got a few starts last season and looked good. While he was starter, Mountain View also cruised to a 3-0 record. He enters his senior season with not a whole lot of experience, but he is a name that you should get to know very soon. Dooley is a very good athlete that can make it happen with both his arm and his legs. He has a whipping style release and can throw seeds all around the field. He throws off a good base and steps into each throw to get those extra few yards. As a runner, he has good vision and he is not afraid to take on contact. Once he gets into the open field, he has enough speed to separate from the defense. With experience, Dooley will tighten up and become an even better player. Right now, he should be viewed as a QB prospect with a big arm, good athleticism, and a lot of upside.
