Cumberland checks in as the number one player in our 2026 rankings and is a dominant force for the Desert Mountain front and a national recruit with multiple power five offers. He has already been offered by Oregon, Washington, Ohio State, ASU and Arizona, with others not far behind. Cumberland is an elite athlete coming off the edge with great first step explosion, violent hands and a natural pass rusher with twitch and a quick use of hands at the POA with a variety of moves at his disposal, which is impressive for a freshman. Going into his second prep season, he will be one of the best sophomore edge players in the country and should really blow up here in the Spring and Summer.
Vanden Bosch is a long and rangy defender that is technically sound and a no brainer P5 kid at the next level. Arizona, Nebraska and Oregon have already offered the talented freshman, and he should be a 20+ offer guy by the time he wraps up his prep career. He covers ground off the edge, uses his length to keep blockers away from his chest and can beat tackles with both speed and power upon contact with violent hands and quick hips at the top of his rush. As he continues to pack on more weight to his frame and develops physically, he will only keep improving and turning into a power five defender.
Highlights
Playing his freshman season at Chandler before transferring this Spring, Jones is a candidate to quickly crack our rankings in the next update and is one of the better 2026 defensive lineman across Arizona. He plays a variety of positions along the defensive line and at inside linebacker, but seems most comfortable coming off the edge. He is an explosive player in the box, can quickly change direction and plays physical with his hands while showing closing speed and open field tackling abilities in space. He is a high IQ kid that can quickly close and get into the backfield, while showing he can take on blockers and runs through contact in the hole. Jones is already a very good sized kid with some length and power and should have a breakout second season campaign this Fall.
