Continue Reading7v7 tournaments have been on the rise in New England in the last 3 years. So much that the leader in Amatuer Sports(AAU), has taken a big step to get its first of many more to come New England 7v7 Tournaments held in New England. In this report, we will cover the rising prospects who stood out at this tournament that drew teams from Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, and Massachusetts to a central location to compete. The event was a huge success and ran smoothly throughout the entire two days. I can easily see this Spring Tournament event will become a premier event that many national 7v7 programs will want to attend in the future. The recruits below are listed in no specific order. This will be done in several reports. Here is Part 1.
Part 1. Who Caught The Scout’s Eyes?
Nikko Morris Nikko Morris 5’8″ | 165 lbs | ATH Fairhaven H.S. Ma. | 2024 State New E (7v7 program-NOS ELITE) Played with flashing quickness and motor through out the tournament. His soft hands, speed and desire to compete was on full display. Morris is a athlete that can play on both sides of the ball. He will fight the size issue during his recruitment, but his overall athletic ability is something many Coaches will want to explore. He is a projected D2-3 recruit that will be known by many after his 2023 season.
Highlights
Hashim Jones Hashim Jones 6’0″ | 200 lbs | ATH Capital Prep | 2025 State New E (7v7 program- 32 Sports)
“Jones” high level athleticism was on full display and easily grabbed my attention. He is a legit 6’1″ athlete with a nice muscular lean frame. Make no mistake, he can play. His field vision and awareness is of higher caliber. His speed was also an attractive skill that stood out. He can get upfield quickly after the catch. He has a solid frame that appears to be durable for the college level of play. What level will be determined soon as I expect he will see additional recruiting interest heading into 2023 summer camp sason.
Highlights
Lawson Foley Lawson Foley 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Scituate Highschool | 2025 State New E (7v7 program-ISI Black) “Foley” was all over the field this weekend making plays on both offense at the WR position and defense at the safety position. I can say he definetly has an eye for the ball when it’s in the air. He is relentless and will go up for the ball at the highest point each time he is targeted on offense or is defending on defense. Plays with a passion for the game and a bit of high effort and aggression on defense. Catches everything away from the body. Has a lean and approximately 6’2″ frame with some length in his arms. He had a solid showing.

Cameron Evora Cameron Evora 6’1″ | 170 lbs | WR East Providence H.S. RI. | 2024 State New E (7v7 program-BTP Behind the Pads) He stood out immediately on first day of competition and then again showed out during the second day. His ability to use his balance and body control to make difficult catches is outstanding. He has room in his frame for additional growth and development moving forward. I could see he is putting the work in the weight room during this off season. He always shows an high level effort to want to compete no matter who the competition maybe. He should grab and increase the attention of college coaches during the 2023 summer camp season.
Osiris Lopez Osiris Lopez 6’1″ | 175 lbs | QB Leominster | 2026 State New E (7v7 program-Outlawz) “Lopez” was my MVP of the weekend. He did everything needed to show his talent level and high quality skill set. He is not only a exceptional QB with a very strong arm who is blessed with accuracy, he can also play defense. He was positioned at safety and that is where I could easily see his versatility become another asset to his skills set. He was ball hawking and and making it look easy with key interceptions to stop the opponents drives. His athletic package, quickness and speed just pops in a live setting and can’t be ignored.
I see him as a Div 1 rising recruit with a very high ceiling. He has the desire, toughness, and mind set to want to compete. The quarterback mechanics he posses at his young age is of high level and D1 quality. This young man should see a bunch of love coming this summer camp season and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few schools pull the trigger and offer him before his 2023 sophomore season.
