6’0, 215 pounds. 3.5 GPA, runs an 11.5 100m at his size and weight. Was enamored with this young man’s game back when I was ranking New England prospects, good to see he’s still ranked relatively high.
Checking back in on the Capital Prep senior out of Hartford, Connecticut,

sits as one of the highest-ranking athletes overall who has yet to announce a future home. We won’t pretend to know why that is the case, yet we want to make sure all know of his availability. Jones would rack up Division One offers back in March out of the likes of Sacred Heart, Bowling Green, and Central Connecticut, yet only one of those schools has come back to officially offer Jones, and that was Akron toward the start of August. Unsure if that offer still stands.

- 6’1, 200 pounds
- Do-it-all man at Capital Prep (CT)
- Has made the leap from unranked to top 25.
- holds an offer from Central Michigan.
- Has two different lengthy tapes, each showcasing his prowess on each side of the ball
- Dissecting his defensive tape, the pure production sticks out immediately. Reps at O/I LB. Violent finisher, shoots gaps like an RB, closes the gap between he and the ball carrier quickly. Likes to play aggressively, hardly any thinking, hesitation, false steps, this kid is a blur through the trenches. Double-digit TFLs registered. Awesome balance while keeping his explosiveness laterally. Has to be a pleasure to coach. Has the potential to place inside the top 10 in the future based on defensive tape alone.
- Offensive tape is just as impressive. Ultimate playmaker who can create a positive outcome from nearly any alignment, nearly any area of the field. Can take inside zone handoffs between the tackles the distance. Can bounce and beat DB angles will speed. Can serve as a Wild-Cat QB and do damage from this position as well.
- One of the more fun tapes to cut on, like projecting him to the defensive side of the football despite his premier playmaking ability.

“Jones” high level athleticism was on full display and easily grabbed my attention. He is a legit 6’1″ athlete with a nice muscular lean frame. Make no mistake, he can play. His field vision and awareness is of higher caliber. His speed was also an attractive skill that stood out. He can get upfield quickly after the catch. He has a solid frame that appears to be durable for the college level of play. What level will be determined soon as I expect he will see additional recruiting interest heading into 2023 summer camp sason.

He is 6’1″ 205lbs and attends Capital Prep School in Connecticut. He was positioned as a outside Linebacker and running back for his team last season. His athletic numbers are as follows: 40 YARD DASH 4.5, VERTICAL 30″, BENCH 205, SQUAT (LBS) 405, DEADLIFT (LBS) 315.
HIs film confirms his athletic numbers easily. He is versatile with the ability to be a outside linebacker and or running back at the next level. He made many plays this past season, he was able to make both a defensive and offensive highlight film that are worth the view and show his abilities.
On offense, he played some rb and qb wildcat. He had runs that show good vision, power and speed. Displays a nice plant then jump cut that makes defenders miss. On special teams, he can see the field well and find the running lanes to get positive yardage. On defense, he tackles with a solid wrap and roll technique. He comes off the edge with good quickness and speed. He can fill the gap quickly. Good field awareness is visible. I project he will have a series of interest from D1 level schools this spring.
