Over the next few seasons, these prospects will have plenty of chances to rise as they continue to develop their game. Here, we take a look at some of the best candidates to rise in the rankings as spring ball continues to get closer.
Austin Guest Austin Guest 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Creekview | 2025 State GA – QB – Creekview
Guest is one of the more dynamic 2025 signal-callers in the state. With a year of starting experience under his belt, Guest could be due for a big junior season. Guest is a great athlete and is dangerous as a runner. He has good vision as a runner, can make defenders miss, and is not afraid to drop his shoulder and fight for extra yards. Has good arm talent and technique as a passer. He can put some nice touch on the ball, especially on balls to the back corner. He is also a good passer on the run, squaring his shoulders and ripping the ball downfield. He looks the part of a big-time QB prospect and seems to have a good grasp of the game. If he can produce and show more flashes during his junior season, his recruitment should see an uptick.
DJ Avrey – WR – Chattahoochee
Athletic playmaker for Chattahoochee that has been generating some buzz out of metro Atlanta this offseason. It’s a matter of time before his recruitment starts to pick up some steam. Has good size and shows some good focus when the ball is in the air, offering a wide catch radius for QBs. If the ball is thrown in his general area, there is a very solid chance he is coming down with it. He is maybe even more talented after the catch, showing good twitchiness and the willingness to fight through contact to pick up extra yards. Avrey had a productive sophomore season. If he can replicate that success and continue to make some noise off the field, Avrey should make some waves as a prospect fairly soon.
Cal Faulkner Cal Faulkner 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Lumpkin County | 2025 State GA – WR – Lumpkin County
Faulkner is one of the best-kept secrets in North Georgia. At WR, Faulkner was the top playmaker for what was one of the best seasons in Lumpkin County football history. He is an extremely gifted athlete that also happens to be a standout on the basketball court. He has outstanding body control and is a smooth runner. With the ball in his hands, he shows excellent vision and the ability to weave in and out of running lanes and set up blocks for himself down the field. He can also rise over defenders for 50/50 balls, offering the QB a wide catch radius with his high vertical. Faulkner has been generating some buzz out of North Georgia for a few months now. It would not be shocking at all if he started to make some more noise as his development continues. He is at the least an FBS-caliber wide receiver prospect.
Onis Konanbanny Onis Konanbanny 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Rabun Gap | 2025 GA – DB – Rabun GAp
Konanbanny already ranks fairly high in our rankings, coming in as a top 10 player at his position in the state. However, there is a solid chance that he will continue to rise even higher. Over the last few weeks, Konanbanny has started to emerge as a can’t-miss P5 CB prospect. He is a big-time athlete that can run and jump with anyone, but he also has a great frame at 6’2 170 with room to fill out and become even more physical. He is super disciplined in man coverage and uses his arms to disrupt the receiver’s rhythm and knock the ball loose. He checks all the boxes and is just a sheer nightmare to line up across, and he is only going to continue to develop and get better. If you don’t know of him already, Konanbanny is a name that you will hear about nationally over the next two years.
Josiah Allen Josiah Allen 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Wheeler | 2025 State GA – RB – Wheeler
After a breakout sophomore season, Allen put himself on the radar on the recruiting trail and is on pace for a very productive career. Allen generated some buzz as a freshman and has exceeded any and all expectations that may have been set coming into this season. Allen has great elusiveness, speed, and is an extremely hard runner. He runs with violent intentions and is not afraid to take on contact and fight through defenders until he finds the endzone. He has good change of direction and can start and stop with the best of them. Once he gets into the open field, it is fun to watch him create. Allen is still creeping onto the radar, but another big season will warrant big things for him on the recruiting trail.
