Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the best overall athletes in Georgia, Faulkner played quarterback, running back, caught passes at wide receiver, and even played defense for Lumpkin County last fall. He’s an outstanding pass-catcher who can line up anywhere for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and find a way to make an impact. He was consistently one of the best athletes on the field at all times last season as a senior and is ranked as the No. 6 WR and the No. 54 overall prospect in Georgia for the final 2025 rankings update.

Most recent in-person eval of Faulkner:
“Faulkner is a fleet-footed 6’2 185 that skates around the field. Faulkner got reps at essentially every skill position at practice, but he will play WR in college. With the ball in his hands, he can float past defenders and make subtle lateral movements to get defenders off-platform. His leaping ability is off the charts, frequently rising above defenders and plucking it at its highest point. Once he adds more twitch and explosiveness, he could develop into a P4 difference-maker in just a few years. Faulkner has 23 MPH GPS speed and is a multi-sport athlete.“
Since then, Faulkner has added his first P4 offer from Georgia Tech.

Is the 6’2 180 All State QB a FBS quarterback prospect? Probably not but he can play at that level at multiple positions, especially at the WR spot. The best athlete on the field on Friday nights and lines up where his team needs him most. Has shifty feet and is able to dance his way out of trouble when pass protection breaks down. When he decides to turn the ball up field, he has an explosive 1st step and gets to full speed quickly. Great hands at the WR spot and uses his speed to add YAC. Faulkner is definitely a player that D1 schools need to evaluate at multiple positions, not just at QB.
