In this article, we are going to highlight some of the prospects that have had the recruiting spotlight flashed on them over the past few days.
Taji Atkins-Running back-Westfield-5’9” 180-Pounds-2024
Taji Atkins is one of the most explosive running backs in the state of Texas. He is a dangerous running back that can rush between the tackles or cut it to the outside. Atkins has displayed impressive pass catching ability. Opposing defenses will have a difficult time attempting to cover the talented running back with a linebacker. Atkins is an explosive running back that can break game open with his speed. Atkins received scholarship offers from Tulsa and the Air Force Academy over the past few days. He is a prospect to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
Kaleb Thomas-Tight End-North Shore-6’3” 225-Pounds-2024
The North Shore tight end is one of the most athletic prospects at the tight position in the state. Kaleb Thomas has the size and athletic ability that scouts are looking for at the tight end position. Thomas is a big play threat working over the middle of the field. He is a target that the defense must account for in the red zone. Thomas has the skill to go up and high point the football. The talented North Shore tight end earned a scholarship offer from Texas-San Antonio. He has the potential to have a big season this upcoming season.
Grant Smith-Quarterback-Grand Oaks-6’3” 180-Pounds-2026
We discussed the Grand Oaks signal caller last week in a quarterbacks to watch out for article. Smith has a strong arm and makes throwing the football look easy. He has an accurate arm and can make all throws needed for an offense that likes to stretch the field deep. Smith earned a scholarship from Texas A&M over the weekend. I expect the scholarship offers to start rolling in for the talented Grand Oaks signal caller. He has the potential to see playing time on Saturdays in the future.
Sam Liu-Offensive Line-Parish Episcopal-6’3” 320-Pounds-2024
Liu is an explosive guard that does an excellent job of getting out of the stance quickly. He has quick feet and uses them well in his run blocking. Liu has that mix of quickness and power that can cause opposing defensive linemen plenty of problems. The Parish Episcopal offensive lineman earned a scholarship from the University of Tulsa a few days ago. He is an offensive lineman with the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.

Jaylen Pile Jaylen Pile 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Parish Episcopal | 2026 State TX is a wide receiver that can make difficult receptions look easy. He has the ability to high point the football. Pile is a threat to take it the distance from anywhere on the field. He has the speed to stretch the field and can cause plenty of problems for opposing defensive backs with his speed. Pile earned a scholarship offer from Boston College over the weekend. Look for Pile to continue to haul in the scholarship offers over the next few months.
