Stephens is a very good athlete who is excellent in press man-to-man coverage. He does not allow much separation at all and does a great job of working back to the football and creating pass breakups. Clarkston will put him at slot corner and as almost an extra linebacker so he can be used to stop the run. He is a very good wide receiver as well and can play in the slot and on the outside. Clarkston’s coaching staff did a good job of making sure to get the football in his hands last year. He has good speed and can pick up nice yardage getting to the outside on an end-around.
#88 Brody Kosin Brody Kosin 6'6" | 225 lbs | TE Clarkston | 2024 State MI | TE/WR | Hudl
I like Kosin’s ability to run block whether he is on the line of scrimmage as a tight end or if he is in the slot. Kosin does a great job of going up and winning contested catches in the end zone. Kosin has good speed and does a great job of getting open over the middle of the field. I like that he secures the ball into his body immediately after making the catch with his hands. He has a good size for the position at 6-6, 225 lbs. Clarkston uses him on the outside as well. He is a good route runner and makes sure to run routes without wasted movement.
#53 | Nick Waszczenko Nick Waszczenko 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Clarkston | 2024 State MI | OL/LB | Hudl
Waszczenko does a good job of timing up his blitzes and getting in the backfield in a hurry. He does a great job of fighting off blockers and making sure to stay in an athletic position to make a tackle. Waszczenko plays guard on the offensive line and does a great job of keeping his hands inside when he engages defenders so that he can use his strength to prevent them from getting around him. I love his athletisism and his overall game and Clarkston will be very excited to have him coming back for the 2023 season.
#22 Brady Beck | DB | Hudl
Beck is an excellent open-field tackler at the safety position. Like his teammate Desman Stephens, Clarkston will put him close to the line of srimmage as almost an extra linebacker to take advantage of his tackling abiltiy. He plays fast and does a good job of staying in a good athletic stance so he can get through blocks or go-low and make a tackle. His back pedal and turns are very fluid and shows the ability to quickly recoginze where plays are going. In his highlights, there was a play where the opposing team ran a screen pass and Beck reconginzed it immediatley and flew down hill to make a tackle.
#79 & #40 | Zack Radlick Zack Radlick 6'2" | 245 lbs | OL Clarkston | 2026 MI | OL/DL | Hudl
Radlick you can tell is a guy who takes a lot of pride in gettig pancake blocks. You saw many times in his highlights him finish his blocks and use full strength and effort to get guys to the ground. Radlick was always working to stay in a good position so he could stay in front of defenders. I love how he works to get upfield and make blocks in the second and third level on screens passes. Radlick played freshaman and JV last season for Clarkston and will likely be a guy who will start on the varsity in 2023.
