Let's take a closer look at a few more of the top defensive line prospects from the 2025 class.

2025 6'2 220 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='285258' first='Moses' last='Bailey'] - Reservoir

If you're looking for a well-rounded athlete that can truly play every position on the football field then look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='285258' first='Moses' last='Bailey']. While Bailey is an All-County defensive lineman, he also lines-up and thrives at the tight end position on offense for Reservoir. [player_tooltip player_id='285258' first='Moses' last='Bailey']'s overall athleticism and coordination are very well represented on the baseball diamond as well, and I encourage scouts to watch Bailey's growth and development on both fields. Long term, I see Bailey as a defensive lineman, but his talents are so elite at such a young age that it's impossible to tell. Regardless, [player_tooltip player_id='285258' first='Moses' last='Bailey']'s elite skills will translate perfectly to the college game, and D1 offers will soon be rolling in for Bailey at a high rate if he maintains this level of dominance.

2025 6'1 230 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='272981' first='Luke' last='Marsalek'] - Loyola Blakefield

[player_tooltip player_id='272981' first='Luke' last='Marsalek'] displayed amazing potential at the defensive line position last year, and I absolutely believe that 2023 will be a breakout season for him. Marsalek showed us that he's one of Loyola Blakefield's hardest workers, and I truly believe that he will make a hugely positive impact on the Dons' defensive line this Fall. [player_tooltip player_id='272981' first='Luke' last='Marsalek'] is currently a top ten ranked defensive lineman in Maryland's 2025 class, and, if Loyola is going to compete with MIAA powerhouses like Spalding and Calvert Hall, he and the Don defense must dominate the line of scrimmage in 2023. I wouldn't be surprised at all if [player_tooltip player_id='272981' first='Luke' last='Marsalek'] earns MIAA honors at the end of the year, and defensive line scouts in Maryland must tune-in to watch Marsalek and the Dons compete this season.

2025 6'2 215 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='275658' first='David' last='Williams'] - Largo

[player_tooltip player_id='275658' first='David' last='Williams'] demonstrated an elite ability to thrive at both the interior and exterior line positions last year. Whether he lined up on the inside or the outside, Williams dominated and disrupted opposing offenses with resilient force. [player_tooltip player_id='275658' first='David' last='Williams'] is currently a top ten ranked defensive lineman in his class, but my way too early prediction is that he will be ranked in the top five by the end of the 2023 season. [player_tooltip player_id='275658' first='David' last='Williams'] of Largo High School is an extremely elite defensive line prospect, and he should be recruited with the utmost seriousness.

2025 6'3 210 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='375016' first='Mark' last='Beasly'] - DeMatha

DeMatha defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='375016' first='Mark' last='Beasly'] is absolutely one of the hardest hitting young prospects in Maryland's 2025 class. The Stags have incredible talent and depth on defense as it stands, so the addition of Beasly will make their defense even more dominant in the Fall. [player_tooltip player_id='375016' first='Mark' last='Beasly'] can create turnovers and stifle opposing offenses with consistency. All eyes must be on [player_tooltip player_id='375016' first='Mark' last='Beasly'] and the DeMatha Stags' defense in 2023, because, with their defense intact, they're in premier position to compete for a WCAC title.

2025 6'2 225 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='273345' first='Peter' last='Deskovich'] Jr - Landon

[player_tooltip player_id='273345' first='Peter' last='Deskovich'] gained valuable varsity experience as a Freshman, and it's going to translate into a higher and stronger level of play from him as his career at Landon progresses. Deskovich already possesses a lot of valuable size that allows him to seamlessly stifle opposing rush attacks, and, as he grows into his body, he is only going to get better and better. He's one of the top young defenders on the Landon roster, and my prediction is that he puts forth his best season yet in 2023. [player_tooltip player_id='273345' first='Peter' last='Deskovich'] Jr has a very high ceiling, and there's a reason that he's one of the highest ranked 2025 defensemen in the IAC.
