Vaughn McCollough
Vaughn McCollough
A sure handed tight end returns for the Highlanders 2023 campaign, the rising junior is sure to make a name for himself this year. Lining up at both receiver and tight end for the Mclean offense McCollough is a matchup problem with his speed and athleticism. Look for his receptions numbers to double this season as Mclean will need them in order to reach the playoffs. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/15502080/63687aee664c850658783044
Kristo Reinhardt
Kristo Reinhardt
A 3-year starter who can play multiple positions on the offensive line, Reinhardt is a big-time name to keep an eye on. Watching him play while he stands at 6’4 and 290 lbs., he can move for a big man and his footwork is second to none. Only an honorable mention all-district selection for 2022, Reinhardt excels in football, wrestling and track for the Saxons. Expect to hear his name a lot when FCS and FBS schools come around this spring, a ton of upside to an already established star. http://www.hudl.com/v/2J6LDq
Blake Thompson
Blake Thompson
You would think there would be more attention being paid to a kid who is 6’3 235 lbs. and runs a 4.8 40. Thompson is one of the most athletic lineman in the state and he using that to his advantage on both sides of the football. If he gets inside of his opposing defenders with his hand placement and reach lookout there is a very good chance the defender is on the ground. He has the speed, size, and strength to play at the next level, he could stand to add maybe 10-15 lbs. more of muscle but nonetheless watch out for him.

Chris Monticeno
Chris Monticeno
Montecino is a quick shifty playmaker for Yorktown, who should only see his stock rise this coming season. A rangy safety with great closing speed who does not get beat deep often. Montecino may be the best punt returner in the conference and is certainly a weapon on offense. Look for the Patriots to use his skill set everywhere in 2023, for Yorktown to advance further in the playoffs they will need it. http://www.hudl.com/v/2Ju20c
Michael Merritt
Michael Merritt
Merritt looks and plays the part of the breed of tight ends you see in the NFL such as Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert and Tj Hockenson to name a few. Listed at 6’5 and 210 lbs. Merritt is problem for linebackers, safeties and even corners to match up against. The second team all-district selection will look to add on 10-15 lbs. and get his 40 under 5.0. The way he has been progressing that seems only like a matter of time. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/14253038/6373a51e64df160a0cd83167
Noe Antoine
Noe Antoine
A speedy linebacker who may end up leading the conference in tackles for 2023. Antoine made a name for himself starting with his special team’s work, but really began to shine for the Patriots on the defensive side. The rising junior is only 170 lbs., and the core of his strength is in his legs. Watch out for this kid come fall I think you will be hearing his name a lot. http://www.hudl.com/v/2JgJGK
John Drury
John Drury
Arguably the most versatile lineman in all of Virginia, Drury can line up at center, guard or tackle for the Highlanders. An all-district wrestler Drury possess foot and hand work technique that are not to be matched. Drury seems to be a wrestler at heart, but may have a bring future in football also. While he cant play every position, he is another key piece in order for Mclean to rebuild from their 2022 campaign. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11682149/6330fcb3b534710598399acb
Max Kelly
Max Kelly
This young man covers a ton of ground the Saxons defense and can deliver a big pop when needed. Standing at 5’10 he is a physical defensive back who does not back from anyone coming his way. http://www.hudl.com/v/2K0Z55
