Continue ReadingTaking a deep film dive into some of the top 2025 prospects across the state, there are many high caliber DI prospects on both sides of the ball and tons of elite talent to go around. Here, we will breakdown the film of some of the top prospects in the 2025 class and highlight other FBS caliber prospects.
The 2025 prospect is a elite playmaker that went for over 1,200 yards and 14 TD’s during his Sophomore campaign and is one of the more dynamic weapons on the western region going into the 2023 season. He mostly operated out of the slot and is a quick twitched route runner with elite short area quickness and can make defenders miss in space with third level speed and a nice initial burst. He flashes he can adjust very well to the ball in the air, can make off-platform plays and has strong hands in traffic. Arizona and UNLV have already offered, and it should not be long until other G5 and P5 schools do the same.
Valdivia is a elite caliber prospect with the ideal size for the running back position and has a very strong build and is a hard to tackle compact runner. Through the hole, he shows a strong initial burst, good contact balance against tacklers and has a knack for always falling forward and gaining the extra yards. Showing the ability to make defenders miss in the hole, he has plus lateral agility and provides cutback abilities due to his vision in tight windows and his ability to find the crease. Always looking for contact, he is a violent runner that is a no brainer DI caliber kid.
Highlights
Markovich is a big and physical two-way player that can do damage with his hand in the dirt, or out wide/as a in line tight end. He is a long and rangy kid with a strong lower body and a huge catch radius with strong hands in traffic and 50/50 ball skills, especially in the red zone. A still developing prospect with two more years in his prep career, he is just scratching the surface of his potential and will be even better by the time he moves to the next level. UMass has already offered and others should follow suit soon as he is one of the top tight ends across the state in his class.
Garcia could find his home at guard in college due to his build and movement abilities, but is a very impressive tackle at the high school level and is a no brainer high next level prospect. He is violent at the POA with natural knee/ankle bend and pops out of his stance quickly with a violent punch, strong/wide base and finishes blocks downfield. Athletic enough to pull and block at the second level while taking good angles in the open field, he also is patient and consistent when in pass protection against both speed and power rushers.
