Continue ReadingBoyd showed up and showed out to the tune of the MVP award. Boyd has a top motor and is an explosive RB who hits the second gear in a flash. During individual drills, he showed good foot work, surprising good lateral movement and impressively caught the ball well. This is why it pays off to go to some camps out there. Boyd was unknown ahead of this, but NextGen stuck to their motto and “found a freak”.
Already on the 2027 PRZ Next National Watchlist, Cantrell has it all. His low center of gravity helps him get in and out of his cuts fluently and smoothly. During individual drills, he displayed smooth jump cuts, caught the ball very well and in 1 on 1’s he was able to make linebackers miss numerous of times.

McCrary is another RB that came to the camp ready to show out. McCrary has the perfect body type of an RB. His lower half looks powerful and explosive, which will make him hard to tackle. During individual drills, he was smooth and decisive in everything he did. He has impressive strong hands, was in and out his cuts as smooth as butter and his footwork in the bag drills were solid. He’s a very hard worker that displayed an “have something to prove” attitude.
Satterwhite showed he’s a big weapon out of the backfield. He can get open in the passing game and made play after play with ease. His quickness and straight-line speed allowed him to get behind defenders down the field when he went up against linebackers. Satterwhite impressed with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
- One other Running Back of note, Jayce Bonds earned an invitation to NXGN’s The Show for his performance. The camp is listed for 2028 prospects (current seventh-graders) and older, but Bonds impressed as a 2029 prospect. Very young, but obviously did enough to earn an invitation to the The Show this summer. Stay tuned.
