Continue ReadingWISCONSIN– I check in back in my home state of Wisconsin to take a look at some 2025 prospects to watch from Northeast Wisconsin in this Part I series (Part II should be out in less than a week). Some of these prospects have Division I potential already, and the others are flying under the radar at the given moment however, have the upside to get to the next-level based on the tape I got to evaluate this morning. Who are the first eight to watch in Part I? We fire away below!
Logan Arft Logan Arft 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL Kaukauna | 2025 State WI , DL, Kaukauna (2025) Twitter
- Logan doesn’t have a ton of tape to evaluate from the 2022 season, but what is there is plenty of upside of what is to come, starting with the physicality this young man possesses when he gets off his blocks. Even when Logan gets double-teamed he finds a way to get into the backfield and shows off the big motor he brings to the table which you see on every rep on tape.
- His pad-level and bend also intrigues me on tape, as it remains consistent throughout his game film. He also puts together an aggressive pull off with his physical hands to drive the ball carrier off balance when he has his full leverage within his reach. In 1v1 reps, Logan’s hand speed struck a chord with me as he can get off quick and pounce into the backfield. He’s got some growing upside increasing his acceleration off the snap, but you can bet with how much work ethic I can see this young man puts in the trenches, he’ll certainly get there with two more years to go with the Fighting Ghosts as I don’t think he’s scratched the surface of his upside yet. Stay tuned!
Michael Guido Michael Guido 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Appleton North | 2025 State WI , WR, Appleton North (2025)
- Michael shows off some fluid agility when you watch his tape with his cutting ability and can gather good separation on short and intermediate routes. I also was intriguing with the lengthy catch radius he brings to the table for his 6’0 165 pound frame as I thought he extended higher than you would expect from a WR with those measurables.
- He also shows off some solid vision and well-balanced stamina in the open field, as on one rep I watched he took turned an intermediate route over the middle of the field, juked the DB out of his shoes and took it the long distance of the field. I also like how this kid shows off his instincts as on his cuts, he shows off a WR prospect that with his footwork looks to be one step ahead of the coverage. With some probable growing speed, I like this young man’s potential with two more years coming under his belt.
Dakotah Montez Dakotah Montez 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Green Bay West | 2025 State WI , WR, Green Bay West (2025) Twitter
- Dakotah’s tape shows off a WR prospect that has some long-striding athleticism built in his lower body that sets a steady tone from the start of his route thru the end of it, as you can depend on this young man to get separation consistently especially on intermediate and deep routes for the Green Bay West Wildcats. He also shows a plethora of route-running creativity, using every ounce of his body to get the job done up field and has the stamina to finish in the end zone.
- Another skill set that is intriguing with Dakotah is how competitive his hands are, as Dakotah does an excellent job with his athleticism in those high-traffic areas making the tough catches. He also shows off some smooth agility on his cuts and I see certainly more depth with two more years under his belt developing an even quicker twitch with his churned in great footwork. A top 25 prospect overall in Wisconsin certainly comes thru in my eyes as a probable WR prospect at the next level.
Sladon Asher, RB, Sevastopol (2025)
- Sladon might not be the biggest or fastest running back prospect ever on my radar, but holy moly is this young man a slippery running back prospect especially off contact with his durability and just how many extra yards he can grasp after initial contact at the 8-man level out of Door County.
- I also like Sladon’s instinct he plants in with his burst of urgency with his game-time speed. He also has well-versed vision waiting for the B and C gaps to open and then he presses the accelerator with fluid gas. I am not sure how much next-level attention the northern part of Door County gets, but this is a young man that I believe has some raw yet developing traits with two more years under his belt as I see him as a potential fit at the Division III level.
Alex Michels, OL, Bay Port (2025) Twitter
- You want your center to assure dominance and grit, and that is exactly what Bay Port OL prospect Alex Michels does when you roll the tape. A big skill set I look for in a next-level football prospect is consistency and Alex certainly passes the eye test with that key word and already has elite next-level measurables at 6’5 265 and I am sure there is more size to be added with two years left in the Bay Port Pirates weight room.
- Alex also brings the juice with his angle blocking, as his quick footwork and punch attack the angle of the defensive linemen with that knockdown physicality you see on the bulk of his clips from center. What is crazy to think is the ceiling Alex is going to hit with two more years under his belt as I believe there is even more nasty physicality brewing and growth in the tank for this young man, as to me he looks like a Division I fit in my eyes in his football future.
Brock Osbahr Brock Osbahr 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL De Pere | 2025 State WI , DL, De Pere (2025) Twitter
- Brock is a defensive end you don’t want to be on the receiving end if you are on the offensive line with the leverage this kid gets with his pad level. Leaving this young man unblocked is a disservice to your offense, as he carries a sizeable motor with a quick trigger within his 6’2 230 pound frame.
- I would love to see some pent off aggression brewing this off-season with his swim moves, as I believe if he can add a swifter turn to his next-level resume as we look forward at his next two seasons with the Redbirds. Brock puts together a solid pull off his blocker when he pops into assisting the run game as I love Brock’s motor and depth within that inside box. He certainly looks like a Saturday prospect in my eyes and is a top 75 overall prospect in Wisconsin in 2025.
Jackson Wisnicky, OLB, Kewaunee (2025) Twitter
- When you get the chance to press the gas on Jackson’s tape from the 2022 season, you need to take a good look at the instinctive traits this kid brings to the table as it pops out significantly on his early tape.
- Jackson also has a high-running motor that can churn around the football field from sideline to sideline. He shows a quick footed twitch off the snap to cause some havoc in the backfield when he’s left untouched coming from the outside. He also shows off a ton more length from his lower body and stretch from his upper body to create chaos quick. The biggest growth I see for Jackson in the 2023 offseason, is improving on his balance with the footwork he has built up when releasing his contact with the ball carrier. Jackson looks like a prospect that is under the radar, however should be playing on Saturdays in the coming years.
Drew Daoust Drew Daoust 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Southern Door | 2025 WI , QB, Southern Door (2025) Twitter
- Drew is a QB prospect I have evaluated on the hardwood over the last couple of summers for our sister site, Prep Hoops however, his football tape makes some significant noise as well as Southern Door’s QB1.
- He starts off his tape with a deep route that shows off some great fluidity from start to finish with his arm mechanics and the precise of his throw jumps out on a tape as a QB that WRs can trust his arm to catch and go. He also has the athleticism to escape the pocket with good speed and a quick release with great touch ball to get the ball out quickly with some good polish regardless of which level of the field he is throwing into. I’ll be intrigued to track Drew which sport he chooses at at the next-level as based on what I saw on the court and now on the gridiron, I certainly believe this young man will have options in both basketball and football at the next level.
