Drew is going to be in the running for the top dual sport athlete in WI. He is a dominant basketball player, but before that season tips off we get to watch him lead Southern Door from the QB position. Drew has made an impact on the football team since he was a freshman playing WR. Last season he took over at QB and proved to be an efficient, effective field general. He threw for 1200+ yards and 15 TDs. Drew also ran for 240+ yards and another 10 TDs.
This was not an easy choice. Daoust will be joined by 2024 RB Zack Lynch Zack Lynch 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Southern Door | 2024 State WI in the backfield who has proven to be a productive weapon. In the end, I went with the dual threat signal caller who handles the ball more often, and will need to step up and help produce even more points after their defense lost very talented seniors.

All signs point to Drew having the talent to play either basketball or football at the next level. Despite being a sophomore, Drew has already broke the 1,000 career point threshold in basketball. He is third in the state this season with 32.4 points per game. That follows a freshman season where he scored just under 20 PPG. He has Southern Door at 16-3 on the season, and first place in their conference.
On the football field, Daoust helped Southern Door to an 11-1 record. Drew is the starting QB for SD after spending his freshman year at receiver. The 6′ QB is a dual threat QB that hit double digit TDs through the air and on the ground as a sophomore. Drew has solid arm talent to build on. It is strong, he can make throws from teh pocket or on the run. Look for him to make the next step in his development next fall, and for him to carry an even bigger workload. Until then, enjoy him dominating the hardwood.

The incoming sophomore made quite the impact as a freshman. He made plays as a QB, WR, RB, DB, and dabbled in the return game. He is also a very talented basketball player, so the natural athleticism shines through in everything he does. I can’t wait to see how he develops and takes over games more and more each year. Look for him to be a riser over the years, and a weekly top performer on the gridiron.
