Mike Matthews Mike Matthews 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Parkview | 2024 State GA – Parkview
One of the top football prospects not only in Georgia, but across the country, Matthews is a tremendous athlete who dominates at wide receiver and defensive back on the gridiron. The playmaking 6-foot-2 180-pounder had a great vertical, plays hard, and his natural athleticism allows him to stand out on the court as well as the football field. A 5-star football prospect, Matthews is a D1-caliber basketball prospect as well, and holds an offer from the Auburn Tigers to play both sports. He’s one of thee top overall athletes in the state and is proving it this spring. His future is on the football field where he holds offers from just about every program in the country, but he’s also showing that he’s one of the best basketball players in the area as well.
Caleb Odum – Carrollton
A big football prospect with plenty of size at 6-foot-6 215-pounds, the promising Carrollton tight end saw multiple major D1 offers come his way in late January, and now he’s showing off his athleticism on the basketball court. He’s long, athletic, and has big, strong hands that allow him to catch footballs and possess the basketball. A high-flying basketball player, Odum can throw down a big-time dunk whenever he’s got space to do so. He’s a major target in the passing game, but his ability to show off on the basketball court makes him one of the top dual-sport players in the Carrollton and West Georgia are. On the gridiron, Odum caught 64 passes for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns, making him one of the most productive tight ends across Georgia last year. He’s also currently leading the Carrollton basketball team to an impressive 14-1 record.
Daniel Calhoun Daniel Calhoun 6'5" | 330 lbs | OL Walton | 2024 State GA – Centennial
He’s thee top OL prospect in Georgia for the 2024 class, and he’s one hell of an interior player on the basketball court as well. There are a few reasons why Calhoun is ranked as one of the top OL prospects across the country, and it’s due to his overall size along with his impressive footwork. He moves so well for his size and shows quick feet for someone 300+ pounds. He’s a dominant force in the trenches, but he can dominate down in the post as well on the basketball court. He’s so athletic for his size and it translates well to the basketball court. He’s an excellent defender, but when he has the ball down low, it’s hard for anyone to stop him. He’s easily one of the top dual-spot big men in the state and uses his size and strength to his advantage. He’s an impressive prospect and the gridiron, and can dominate in the paint.
Demello Jones Demello Jones 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Swainsboro | 2024 State GA – Swainsboro
One of the hottest football prospects in the state, Jones saw his offer list skyrocket in January after a dominant junior season at Swainsboro last fall. Now, he’s establishing himself as one of the top basketball players and dual-sport athletes in Southeast Georgia. An extremely talented athlete, he’s quick, agile, and moves at a different pace than everyone else. His natural athleticism is easy to see and he’s been a standout on the basketball court so far this year. As a junior last year on the gridiron, Jones rushed the ball 122 times for 1,279 yards and 20 touchdowns. His burst, agility, and big-play ability translate to the basketball court where he runs the show at his small-town school. He’s quickly becoming one of the better 2024 football prospects in South Georgia, and if you watch him play basketball, it’s easy to see why.
