This class has a high plethora of next-level wide receivers, so I started with that position group and will continue over the next week or so with the other position groups and probably add some Part IIs of positions that are overloaded (in the best way possible) with talent in the Dakotas. These six 2024 WR prospects are ones I wouldn’t wait until camp season to offer and are “buy stock now” type of prospects.
Jack nearly added 90 receptions in his junior campaign for the Patriots, and I believe he’s destined for more with the growing rapport with 2024 QB Tate Schafer Tate Schafer 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2024 State SD . Jack has that twitchy agility with his footwork to get off ample separation from the secondary even on quite short routes. Jack also is very fluid with his acceleration throughout the duration of his routes and has the vision locked in with football IQ to make those high traffic area receptions look routine. Jack also has incredible balance around the sidelines. If I was a Division I school in the Midwest, I would offer Jack right now ahead of summer prospect camps to start to build that rapport early with the #1 WR in South Dakota.

Looking at his junior tape, I am now convinced positionally you could line up Isiah in almost any skill position on the gridiron and this kid would find a way to have success. The long-striding athleticism Isiah brings on screen plays thru deep routes, you better have blockers out in front as the way this young man stretches the find with his smooth athletic ability is incredible to watch when you roll the tape. I also love his length regardless of the side of the ball he lines up at as he has that long stretch in his 6’1 170 pound body that stretches out even longer in my eyes. If I was a Missouri Valley program, I would jump the gun early on this kid especially those handful of North Dakota schools looking for the #1 WR in North Dakota.
Our #2 WR in South Dakota still without an offer yet is Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Jaxsen Grevengoed. Jaxsen is slightly smaller than the others on this list, however Jaxsen is another prospect that can stretch the field really quickly with his vision and game-time burst in the open field. I also like the awareness instinct Jaxsen brings before the defender gets in his arsenal as he has the solid agility to make his move prior to the DB gets in position. Jaxsen also is a WR prospect you will get maximum effort out of, as I love his fight on tape for getting extra yards even though the window has started to close. Jaxsen is one I have high expectations for this summer at prospect camps, but I could see an NSIC school pulling the trigger before then with an offer.

I believe Yankton WR Tucker Gilmore Tucker Gilmore 6’3″ | 205 lbs | WR Yankton | 2024 State SD has the biggest upside to blast off at summer prospect camps on this list. With a well-built 6’3 195 pound frame Tucker also matches it up as a fundamentally sound route-runner and has a significantly active twitch with his change of direction. I also love the first 3-4 clips of his tape, as he shows off to the college coaches watching how well-balanced he is making the toughest of catches which certainly elevates Tucker’s ceiling in my eyes. Now that I have Tucker’s junior tape, you can bet that this young man will be a stockriser the next time we do our 2024 rankings update. He also has that route creativity to keep working his tail off to find an opening which is a skill set I really appreciate watching from WR prospects as it shows off their work ethic. Time to buy stock now in Yankton’s Tucker Gilmore Tucker Gilmore 6’3″ | 205 lbs | WR Yankton | 2024 State SD , college coaches.
Logging 19 touchdowns is no small task in the South Dakota 11AAA level, but it’s the way Harrisburg WR Tytan Tryon gets it done is what makes it more impressive. This young man has some of the most elite hands in the state of South Dakota as he has an impressive catch radius for his 6’1 175 pound frame, and football IQ that soars with high instincts. Tytan also has a high-level of burst from start to finish with his route-running and shows off balanced stamina especially on deep and intermediate routes that can finish the job in the open field. Tytan will have a change to develop at QB1 with Dylan Elrod Dylan Elrod QB Harrisburg | 2023 State graduated, but he’s in great hands with another Knuth brother at the helm at Harrisburg in probable Division I QB prospect Sam Knuth. I also believe moving his tape to Hudl from YouTube will help this young man blow up this summer at camps.

Probably one of the most underrated WR prospects on this list is Rapid City St. Thomas More WR Peyton Young. Peyton has some really consistent balance and football IQ built into his DNA especially on intermediate routes in highly contested areas of the field. He also has a quite efficient burst from the top of his route and that dynamic he brings with his accelerator sets a smooth tone for the duration of his route-running ability. Now Peyton is undersized, but there certainly is a growing curve with this young man to add some stock by adding 10-20 pounds in the weight room. I believe if he can get stronger this offseason, he’ll grow into a scholarship level WR at the Division II level in my eyes. Peyton certainly has the skill, he just needs to add more frame and keep his speed and agile skillsets brewing.
