<p>In Class 2A, a number of different linebackers showed the skills to be an all-stater this past fall. </p>

<p>That includes the person who earned first team honors in Dawson Bond, the leader in tackles for the classification. </p>

<p>Here is a look at the rest of the all-state selections from 2A:</p>

<p><strong>First Team - Dawson Bond - Red Oak - Senior</strong></p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Bond, Dawson Bond, was the leading tackler in Class 2A this past fall, recording 118 tackles. Of those, 79 were marked as solo stops, with 16.5 coming behind the line of scrimmage. The Tigers also used Bond on offense, as he ran for 132 yards, took snaps under center, caught 18 balls for 500 yards and seven scores and handled both kicking and punt return duties. </p>

<p><strong>Second Team - Kayden Van Berkum - Central Lyon/George-Little Rock - Senior</strong></p>

<p>A menacing threat on the field, Kayden Van Berkum helped Central Lyon/George-Little Rock to another state title. He recorded 45.5 tackles with 27 solo stops and 12 tackles for loss for a defense that dominated opposing teams. He also had a pair of interceptions. </p>

<p>Van Berkum also found the end zone three times on offense and even caught four passes. </p>

<p><strong>Third Team - [player_tooltip player_id='152751' first='Griffin' last='Diersen'] - OABCIG - Senior</strong></p>

<p>Known over the past few years for its offense, OABCIG also can play some pretty solid defense when they need to. [player_tooltip player_id='152751' first='Griffin' last='Diersen'] was a leader for the Falcons on that side of the ball, recording 64 tackles with 51 solo stops, nine for loss, a sack and an interception. </p>

<p>He also ran for 420 yards, caught 11 passes for 73 and had seven touchdowns on offense. </p>

<p><strong>Honorable Mention</strong></p>

<p>J.P. Weber of Dubuque Wahlert, Jake Krebsbach of Osage, Jax Mosley from Centerville and [player_tooltip player_id='24029' first='Justin' last='Loseke'] of Southeast Valley were also considered for the all-state teams. </p>
