It is not easy finding a quality QB in high school. Having a leader at the QB position that can actually make plays is a luxury. These players on this list have already earned recognition, but I believe they can put up monster numbers by the end of their senior season! Here is the Break Out Candidate Series. And I'm starting with the signal callers of the 2024 Class: Quarterbacks.

Gordan was dynamic in his junior season. An explosive athlete, he was the leading rusher on his team. He can throw well on the run and has a nice feel for pressure in the pocket. A passer before a runner, Gordan has a really good arm. He makes the easy passes look routine and the difficult passes look routine. Gordan's top receiving target, [player_tooltip player_id='147434' first='Andre' last='Thompson'], is returning as well. I do believe his deep passes lack zip. Don't get me wrong, the spiral is u003cemu003everyu003c/emu003e pretty, but I think a skilled safety can break up the pass. Overall, I think Gordan has an amazing opportunity to cap off his senior season with a championship!","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["270874"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"I first noticed Johnson at the 2022 Prep Redzone Showcase in Houston. He was the offensive MVP. I kept up with him this season to see if he was just the real deal or just good on air. Whelp ladies and gentlemen, he is in fact, the real deal! I don't think there is a throw Johnson can't make. Do not let last season's record fool you, that Cougars team was really competitive in most of the games. I am not crazy about his release. I think he hold the ball to low, wasting precious nanoseconds off the pass, but he is very accurate! I like him better in the pocket, but he is able to move around and make some plays with his legs! Johnson has the ability to make strong, tight throws and 25-30 yards done the field! To top it all off, he has a pair of sophomore WRs that saw lots of game action and targets last season. The team as a whole can only improve and even win a couple of those close games, and it'll start with Johnson.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["279397"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"I love Gill's deep ball accuracy! He has a really nice touch and can drop the ball in the bucket, even when his receiver is covered! I think he's one of the more accurate QBs on the move. From a pure accuracy stand point, Gill can throw with the best of them. A huge boost to the Maverick's offense is having ATH Cole Allen returning for his junior year. Allen was Gill's favorite target. He, along with Logan Donley the 2nd leading receiver, should continue to be a factor next season. I like Gill's toughness, his leadership, and his arm talent. He should be on a lot of people's radar, and I don't just mean for private school QBs!","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["147470"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"I think Tran is the most fun to watch out of all these quarterbacks. He makes the most out of a difficult situation. I think he has that u003cemu003e'it'u003c/emu003e factor! He will not win the measurables argument, only listed at 5'8u0022, but he can throw a football! When he has time to throw, I really like his anticipation. He releases the ball before his receivers even make their break! He throws is receivers open. He's gotten better and more confident each year. What will be interesting for his is that his primary receiver, Arbrie Carter, graduates this year. Tran leaned on Carter a lot...like...u003cemu003ea lot a lotu003c/emu003e! Tran's senior year will be a great test to see him distribute the football to all his receivers. He won't have to do it all himself though, as the team's leading rusher, [player_tooltip player_id='147458' first='Quinton' last='Jones'], is returning! Those two will be asked to do a lot to get their team over the hump!","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-63ddd40c86ad1"} /-->
