Gordon is one of the most talented signal callers in the class of 2024 in Texas and he finished out his senior year by leading Episcopal to a state title. Karson is extremely accurate with the football, his ability to make throws under pressure and his accuracy on the move are traits that stick out in his game. Gordon is an explosive runner who has the speed to make a house and has the wiggle to make defenders miss in the open field. He shot up the state rankings after a monster season and Gordon during the early signing day period with UCLA.

Gordon’s arm talent enables him to effectively spray the route tree with accuracy, making him a versatile and dangerous passer. The UNLV commit showed great skill during his junior season both inside and outside of the pocket. Gordon displayed good accuracy while facing pressure and the ability to escape the pocket eluding free rushers. Gordon kept his eyes downfield and delivered throws on the money leading his guys to open field ad big yardage. Gordon also showed his ability to be a scrambler and a threat to break off big runs when the opportunity presents itself. He showed good vision as a runner, locating open gaps and has the breakaway speed to separate from defenders. Gordon finished his junior campaign throwing for 2,157 along with 28 touchdowns, and ran for 700 yards and 8 touchdowns. Gordon is a smooth operator in the pocket, he stands tall with his shoulders square to his target and his nimble, clean footwork enables him to deliver accurate, on time balls to his receivers. Karson excels at the off platform throws under pressure, he is able to slide, shift, and stride to an open space and deliver frozen ropes on target to his receivers in stride. Gordon is a freakish athlete, with the speed and agility to break contain and make a house call for six from any distance. At 6’1 175 pounds, Gordon has the frame to add bulk and stay athletic when he gets entrenched into college program. Karson was outstanding in 2022, totaling over 3,105 all purpose yards to go along with a completion percentage well over 64% and he blitzed his opponents for 37 total touchdowns. His recruitment has heated up this offseason, with offers coming in from Army, Sam Houston State and Howard.

In just his first season as a knight, Gordan made his presence felt. Gordan was dynamic in his junior season. An explosive athlete, he was the leading rusher on his team. He can throw well on the run and has a nice feel for pressure in the pocket. A passer before a runner, Gordan has a really good arm. He makes the easy passes look routine and the difficult passes look routine. Don’t get me wrong, the spiral is very pretty, but I think a skilled safety can break up the pass. Overall, I think Gordan has an amazing opportunity to cap off his senior season with a championship!
