An Overview of NSIC 2022 Minnesota Recruiting Classes

The NSIC is one of the premier D2 conferences in the country. It consists of 14 teams across the midwest, although most schools are in Minnesota and the Dakotas. The NSIC has sent quite a few players to the NFL over the years, including the Viking's own Adam Theilen and CJ Ham. They loaded up with talent this offseason and I'm pumped to bring to you an overview of the NSIC's Minnesota recruiting class!! The latter of which amassed 8 sacks during his senior campaign. They also nabbed [player_tooltip player_id='246043' first='Jonah' last='Hviding'] from Princeton, who recorded over 750 receiving yards and 14 TDs during his senior campaign. Grabbing big-body TEs like Blue Earth's Ashton Llyod and Eden Prairie's [player_tooltip player_id='295822' first='Jermell' last='Taylor'] also helps fill some receiving needs. Defensively they grabbed another Eden Prairie standout in [player_tooltip player_id='112127' first='Jacory' last='Bates'] as well as Bethlehem Academy's Charlie King, whose physical style of football should make a welcome addition to the Mavericks roster. Following what was a surprisingly explosive season where they made the NCAA DII tournament, the Wildcats look to reload and revamp in 2023. It's hard to imagine that some of these guys won't be day 1 impact players for the program. On the other side of the ball, they brought in a lanky DB in Luke Leonard, a true athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='112046' first='Wes' last='Overton'], and a multi-faceted DB in [player_tooltip player_id='112070' first='Levi' last='Teetzel']. Cooper Walder is a mammoth of an athlete from Sauk Rapids who was a three-year starter for the storm. The 6'8" giant looks to be a bright part of the wolves' future. The only defensive player from MN picked up was Warroads [player_tooltip player_id='295815' first='Gaabi' last='Boucha']. Boucha is a massive LB clocking in at 6'3" and 225 lbs. [player_tooltip player_id='112085' first='Clayton' last='Kosel'] had over 3,200 career rushing yards and [player_tooltip player_id='140229' first='Jacob' last='McCalla'] had over 500 yards in just 4 games during his senior season. In the trenches, they brought in [player_tooltip player_id='313333' first='Joseph' last='Meier'] who recorded 35 pancakes during his senior campaign, a two-year starter in [player_tooltip player_id='313085' first='Jacob' last='Dorner'], and an all-state lineman in [player_tooltip player_id='246042' first='Ben' last='Nelson']. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, they also stocked up. Other offensive weapons include Kole Curry who finished with 1,600 all-purpose yards as a senior, [player_tooltip player_id='313243' first='Will' last='Priest'] who amassed over 1,000 rushing yards, and [player_tooltip player_id='313281' first='Macoy' last='Krick'] who had over 850 receiving yards his senior year. In the trenches, they picked up state champion powerlifter Micah Cozad, a solid athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='313315' first='Gabe' last='Kamann'], and a true hog in Anthony Linder. The NSIC is one of the premier D2 conferences in the country. It consists of 14 teams across the midwest, although most schools are in Minnesota and the Dakotas. The NSIC has sent quite a few players to the NFL over the years, including the Viking's own Adam Theilen and CJ Ham. They loaded up with talent this offseason and I'm pumped to bring to you an overview of the NSIC's Minnesota recruiting class!!
