The NSIC is one of the premier D2 conferences in the country. It consists of 14 teams across the midwest, although most schools are in Minnesota and the Dakotas. The NSIC has sent quite a few players to the NFL over the years, including the Viking's own Adam Theilen and CJ Ham. They loaded up with talent this offseason and I'm pumped to bring to you an overview of the NSIC's Minnesota recruiting class!!

Season Overview: Following a dominant 2022 campaign, the Beavers look to reload for another season. They lose a few key players, but they did a great job of hitting key in-state targets to fill those gaps that they lost. The Beavers picked up some solid wideouts in [player_tooltip player_id='312935' first='Ethan' last='Biehn'] who amassed over 1,100 all-purpose yards last season, and former Shakopee Sabers QB turned WR [player_tooltip player_id='228471' first='Dominic' last='Jackson'] whose fantastic athleticism should help him make a smooth transition. Multiple sport standout [player_tooltip player_id='295817' first='Jadon' last='Hellerud'] should also make a nice addition to whatever skill position they stick him at. Defensively they added two solid edge players Liam Cummings from Edina and [player_tooltip player_id='313183' first='Kaden' last='Cook'] from Park Center. The latter of which amassed 8 sacks during his senior campaign. They also added two solid DBs in [player_tooltip player_id='112184' first='Foster' last='Mulvehill'] from Irondale and Tyrell Thomas from Park Center. Link to full recruiting list.

Season Overview: The Mavericks went 10-3 and finished second in the NSIC. They don't lose many major players and keep a solid core of athletes following a solid year of recruiting. Offensively they add Chatfield's, [player_tooltip player_id='112047' first='Sam' last='Backer'] a former 4 sport athlete who rushed for over 7,000 yards in his career. They also nabbed [player_tooltip player_id='246043' first='Jonah' last='Hviding'] from Princeton, who recorded over 750 receiving yards and 14 TDs during his senior campaign. Grabbing big-body TEs like Blue Earth's Ashton Llyod and Eden Prairie's [player_tooltip player_id='295822' first='Jermell' last='Taylor'] also helps fill some receiving needs. Defensively they grabbed another Eden Prairie standout in [player_tooltip player_id='112127' first='Jacory' last='Bates'] as well as Bethlehem Academy's Charlie King, whose physical style of football should make a welcome addition to the Mavericks roster. Important not to sleep on Watertown Mayer's [player_tooltip player_id='383729' first='Ian' last='Burau'], a big physical OL, and Maple Grove's Conner Fournier who finished high school with over 140 career points. Link to full recruiting list.

Season Overview: UMD brought the hammer this offseason, nabbing some of the top recruits MN had to offer. Offensively they loaded up, bringing aboard a ton of talent.
Season Overview: Northern State hit the ground running in most of the midwest, but only nabbed four MN recruits. Harrington is a tower of a kid with a lot of raw potential from Parkers Prairie, while his positional counterpart [player_tooltip player_id='301901' first='Jensen' last='Wallin'] averaged 18.6 yards per reception his senior season and was named to the Minnesota Vikings All-Star team. Cooper Walder is a mammoth of an athlete from Sauk Rapids who was a three-year starter for the storm. The 6'8" giant looks to be a bright part of the wolves' future. The only defensive player from MN picked up was Warroads [player_tooltip player_id='295815' first='Gaabi' last='Boucha']. Boucha is a massive LB clocking in at 6'3" and 225 lbs.
Season Overview: Moorhead brought in LOADS of talent this offseason. The program is stacked with young talent already and many of these guys could be competing for a spot on day 1. Offensively they got some extremely underrated players. [player_tooltip player_id='112080' first='Ot' last='Omot'] had well over 1,100 career receiving yards for Park, Issac Ivy is one of the crispest route runners in MN, and [player_tooltip player_id='112066' first='Kelly' last='Johnson'] had over 1,300 career receiving yards. [player_tooltip player_id='112085' first='Clayton' last='Kosel'] had over 3,200 career rushing yards and [player_tooltip player_id='140229' first='Jacob' last='McCalla'] had over 500 yards in just 4 games during his senior season. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, they also stocked up. Ashton Sayre had 3 sacks and 67 tackles in his senior season, [player_tooltip player_id='245649' first='Henry' last='Smith'] had over 200 career tackles, [player_tooltip player_id='19018' first='Zach' last='Dahl'] had over 80 tackles as a senior, [player_tooltip player_id='313277' first='Jackson' last='Smith'] with 180+ career tackles, [player_tooltip player_id='154572' first='Anthony' last='Sykora'] was one of the best overall athletes in MN, and [player_tooltip player_id='382844' first='Lana' last='Oduwaiye'] who accumulated 10 sacks during his senior campaign. Other offensive weapons include Kole Curry who finished with 1,600 all-purpose yards as a senior, [player_tooltip player_id='313243' first='Will' last='Priest'] who amassed over 1,000 rushing yards, and [player_tooltip player_id='313281' first='Macoy' last='Krick'] who had over 850 receiving yards his senior year.
