We're back! Today we shifted our focus to the defensive side of the football and looked at the top performers from Saturday's Prep Redzone Georgia Showcase. The defensive side of the football had some quality depth, led by the defensive back group. We found a ton of new names from Saturday's camp and I look forward to following their recruitment this winter and beyond. With that being said, here were my top defensive performers from Saturday's Prep Redzone Georgia Showcase.

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='618655' first='Darius' last='Jordan'] Burke County, 2025

Quick off the snap with good flexibility as a rusher. Jordan has a muscular build, can easily put speed to power, and has a twitchy upper half to defeat an opponent's punch.

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='618666' first='Michael' last='McQueen'] Vidalia, 2024

McQueen has some explosiveness to his game and even broad jumped 9"0.5". He retraces in his rush lane when he gets too far up the field, has a strong long arm & plays with a consistently low pad level.

DL: Jeremiah Brown, Lanett, 2026

A good-looking frame to go with noticeable athleticism for a big man. Brown has a swift first step, a punch that is loaded with some serious pop and is always locked in with a plan when pass-rushing.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='618672' first='Toreco' last='Harper'] Grovetown, 2025

Harper is put together for a sophomore and displayed a violent push-pull during individual drills. He showed excellent patience in coverage, great balance, and enough recovery speed to catch up to speedier backs downfield.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='618660' first='James' last='McCallar'] West Forsyth, 2025

James is quite twitchy and has noticeable burst & top-end speed. He easily changes direction, was draped all over backs out of the backfield and plays with a relentless mindset.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='618656' first='Devin' last='Ross'] Thomas County Central, 2024

Ross easily was one of the top performers during the testing portion, clocking a 4.46 40-yard dash, a 9'5.5" broad jump along with a 4.4 short shuttle time. He's dominant in press coverage with well-trained feet, has a strong off-hand jam, high points the football & is silky smooth working out of a pedal.

DB: TJ Thomas, Brookwood, 2024

Another guy who had a ridiculous day testing, TJ clocked a 4.47 40-yard dash, a 4.34 short shuttle, and a 9'9" broad jump. On the field, he was sticky in man coverage, could easily unlock his hips & played with unparalleled confidence.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='283793' first='Blake' last='Stewart'] Landmark Christian, 2026

Stewart can easily climb the ladder, attacking the football at its highest point. He's got soft hands, excellent anticipation, fights to keep his inside leverage and has tight feet out of his breaks.
