I am doing a review of players whose field performances; post-season performances have moved them up in the player rankings. The in-depth review of eight players who are on the moving up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355008' first='Wesley' last='Thompson'] - QB, 6'4" 180 (Previous No. 27 QB, No. 3 QB, No. 35 Overall), Maiden HS</strong>. Wesley led his team deep into the state playoffs. He directed one of the top high-scoring offensive units in the state. Wesley completed 183 of 283 passes for 3,715 yards and 43 TDs. He completed 64.7 percent of his passes throughout the season. He averaged 265.4 yards per game along with 10 interceptions. Wesley finished the season with a QB rating of 133.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='297896' first='Jalen' last='Melson'] - QB, 5'8" 170 (Previous No. 24 QB, No. 15 QB, No. 99 Overall), Northeastern HS</strong>. Jalen led his team to the 2A Eastern Regional Championship game. He was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year in his conference. He participated in a HS All-Star game and had a solid performance. He completed 109 of 158 passes for 2023 yards and 16 TDs. Jalen completed 69 percent of his passes throughout the season. He averaged 202.3 yards per game along with 7 interceptions. Jalen finished the season with a QB rating of 127.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='290622' first='Bryce' last='Weaver'] - OL, 6'4" 305 (Previous No. 34 OL, No. 12 OL, No. 71 Overall), DH Conley HS</strong>. Bryce displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs throughout the season. The ECU commit was the dominant player on the offensive line and had an outstanding senior year. He displayed upper body strength and quickness to overpower defenders. Bryce had a solid performance in the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='363264' first='Isaac' last='Geer'] - LB, 6'1" 195 (Previous No. 37 LB, No. 15 LB, No. 132 Overall), Jordan HS</strong>. Isaac stepped up his performance on the field and had an outstanding senior year. He displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover a lot of ground quickly to close in on the ball carrier for stops. Isaac finished the season with 150 total tackles, 7 of which were for losses. He had 89 solo tackles and averaged 11.5 tackles per game and 2 sacks. Isaac had a good performance in the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='290618' first='Aronne' last='Herring'] - RB, 5'10" 170 (Previous No. 7 RB, No. 3 RB, No. 23 Overall), New Bern HS</strong>. Aronne displayed exceptional speed and explosiveness while finding lanes to accelerate past defenders for big gains. He was the leader of the State's top rushing attack which led to winning the 4A State Championship. The Hampton commit finished the season with 154 carries for 1,895 yards and 27 TDs. He averaged 135.4 yards per game and 12.30 yards per carry. Aronne established himself as one of the top running backs in the class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='144922' first='Sincere' last='Baines'] - RB, 5'10" 175 (Previous No. 19, No. 4 RB, No. 24 Overall), Jack Britt HS</strong>. Sincere runs with good balance and vision while running inside. He displayed the instinct to lean forward while being tackled and continued to drive his legs for additional yardage. Sincere finished the season with 251 carries for 2,167 yards and 25 TDs. He averaged 197 yards per game and 8.63 yards per carry. He was the State 4A regular season rushing leader. Sincere had a solid performance in the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='335470' first='Ty' last='Broughton'] - WR, 6'2" 180 (Previous No. 23 WR, No. 9 WR, No. 61 Overall), Millbrook HS</strong>. Ty missed a few games to start the season due to an injury. He returned and field performances improved throughout the season. Ty was one of the top receivers on a high-scoring offensive unit. He finished the season with 45 receptions for 670 yards and 4 TDs. Ty averaged 14.81 yards per catch while running good pass routes and good separation from defenders to make catches. He had a solid performance in the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='369479' first='Chris' last='Jones'] - DE, 6'3" 280 (Previous 39 DL, No. 20 DL, No. 125 Overall), Vance Co. HS</strong>. Chris displayed good technique and use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He displayed quickness out of his stance and upper body strength to move past blockers into the backfield to disrupt the play. He was one of the leaders and anchor on the defensive line. Chris finished the season with 51 total tackles, 4.5 which were for losses. He had a good performance in the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
