Continue ReadingSecond team all-district selection West returns to the Jaguars for 2023 in hopes of turning around his squads’ misfortunes from last year. The Jaguars struggles certainly can’t be put on West’s shoulders as he tossed for 29 touchdown passes and 5 rushing this past season. The rising junior is 6’6 215 lbs. and can move very well clocking in a 4.8 40. What his biggest strength seems to be is his deep ball accuracy, regardless of how far his receivers are down the field, West constantly hits them in stride.

Quincy Ehuman
Quincy Ehuman
A big (6”5) physical presence at the safety position for Edison returns as this kid is one of the best in the state. Weighing in at 205 lbs. the first team all-district selection takes pride in his tackling and forcing turnovers. He loves to play the run and is the type of safety that makes his offenders cringe each time he contacts them.

Whether its throwing on the run or in the pocket, Edison’s quarterback can make it happen. Under constant duress much of the 2022 season, this kid makes plays with his arm and feet. A dual threat quarterback is one of the many reasons why the Edison Eagles are excited about their 2023 campaign.

Sahr Moiwah
Sahr Moiwah
Maybe the best Cornerback in the entire conference last year, Moiwah is a ballhawk for Hayfield’s defense. Standing at a little over 6’1 and 178 lbs, Moiwah cover skills are exceptional, but he is more fun to watch against the run. That is meant as a compliment just a heads up as this playmaker knows how to tackle with a force. Look for Hawks top defensive back to start garnering significant college interest this offseason, with his size and speed he is a defensive coordinators dream.

Caleb Henson
Caleb Henson
A bruiser pit bull of a running back who also has good speed, exceptional strength, and good vision. All of the more reasons why the Hawk’s coaching staff is excited about Henson’s upcoming role for 2023. Listed at 5’9 and 215 lbs., this young man has been clocked in at a 4.6 40 and can squat over 315 lbs., a tremendous combination. An honorable mention All Conference selection the rising Junior has a very high ceiling.

Standing at 6’0 179 lbs. Dewolf lines up everywhere for the Jaguars offense. A versatile running back who is great route runner, he has already been clocked at a 4.7 40. Look for this young man’s role to expand for 2023, watching his tape he is a matchup nightmare.Standing at 6’0 179 lbs. Dewolf lines up everywhere for the Jaguars offense. Liano Van Heerden
Liano Van Heerden
Van Heerden may only be 5’7 and 150 lbs. soaking wet, but that doesn’t make him any easier to tackle. A great one cut and go back for the Atoms, Van Heerden also packs a mean punch to his opposing defenders. Averaging over 6 yards per carry in his junior season, expect him to be one of the league leading rushers for 2023.

Guillermo Guerreno
Guillermo Guerreno
The Atoms should have themselves some maulers on their offensive line for 2023 and it starts with Guerreno. This rising junior stands at 6’2 and 200 lbs. and is at his best when Annandale has him pulling as their lead blocker. Watch his highlight tape every chance he gets to pull they are clear lanes for his running backs to follow.
