Which 2025 prospects saw new offers come their way? Let’s take a look…
Elyiss Williams Elyiss Williams 6'8" | 220 lbs | TE Camden County | 2025 State GA – Charlton County
One of the top two-way athletes across the state in the 2025 class, Williams is a promising pass-rusher with an ideal size and fantastic long frame at 6-foot-6 220-pounds. He shows elite quickness off the edge as a defender with a great motor when getting after the quarterback. His length allows him to push away and get off blocks from opposing offensive tackles. He’s an excellent defender with an unlimited amount of potential as an EDGe defender and pass-rusher. He has the size and length that stands out immediately, and his athleticism is easy to notice on film. He makes a lot of plays as a receiver and can make plays there as well. As he continues to put on more weight and muscle, Williams has a real chance to end up as a 5-star prospect due to his potential as a pass-rusher along with his natural athleticism for someone with his size. His stock is soaring on the recruiting trail right now, adding new offers this week from Florida and Miami.
London Merrit – Woodward Academy
A smaller, but explosive defensive lineman, Merritt is lightning quick off the ball and was disruptive all season long at just 6-foot-3 230-pounds. He’s too quick and agile for heavier interior lineman and brings plenty of muscle and overall strength to his game as well. He can blow a play up on any particular play and knows how to deliver a big hit. He sheds blocks, uses his quick hands to knock opposing linemen off balance, and shows a great motor as well. He was a standout defender on an extremely talented Woodward Academy defense. Just a sophomore, it’s clear Merritt has plenty of time to put on more weight and muscle before ehe gets to college. He’ll have to make a big decision when the time comes, and he’ll be able to pick from some of the best programs in the country. This week he earned one of the biggest offers out there, from the Alabama Crimson Tide. If Merritt continues to work hard and develop over the next two years, he has a chance to climb the rankings more and more in the 2025 class.
Ryan Ghea Ryan Ghea 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Milton | 2025 State GA – TE – Milton
Arguably the top overall tight end prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class, the big Milton standout is a big body at 6-foot-5 220-pounds already with an easy D1-caliber frame. He’s a physical block in the run game and can overpower smaller defenders on the perimeter as well. In the passing game, he’s obviously a big target with soft hands who can pick up yards after the catch. He’s a reliable option in every aspect of the Milton offense and it’s easy to see why he already has a handful of impressive D1 offers. He’s coming off an excellent sophomore season and earned a new offer this week from North Carolina. He’s without a doubt one of the top 2025 prospects in Fulton County right now with his best football still way ahead of him.
Jontae Gilbert Jontae Gilbert 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Douglass | 2025 State GA – Douglass
One of the top overall defensive backs regardless of class, Gilbert is a long, athletic cornerback from Atlanta who has 5-star potential. He’s already committed to Ohio State, but as talented as Gilbert is, programs have to continue recruiting him. He’ll have every off in thee book at one point, and he earned a new one this week from Tennessee. The long, athletic 6-foot-1 175-pounder is a natural cover corner, but he’s also an incredibly tough player who can deliver a big hit on the ball-carrier. Look for Gilbert to be one of the highest-ranked defensive backs in Georgia for the 2025 class when it’s all said and done.
