Continue Reading-The only reason Barr isn’t on the First Team for all Linebackers is simply trying to make even numbers for our distinctions of a job well done at camp. He was impressive, without question
-Already on the 2027 National Watchlist as a Linebacker, Barr again proved to be everything and more at the position. Measured in at 5-foot-11, 162-pounds and was clocked at a 4.97 in the forty
-Had a tremendous year on both sides of the ball for a Glassboro youth team that just finished the second half of back-to-back league championships. He had noticeably better hands this year and seemed to moved better too. His stock continues to rise
Highlights
-Chukwumah Odoh earned his way on to the 2027 National Watchlist after an extremely impressive all-around day at the camp
-Measured well at 5-foot-10 and 190-pounds and then tested phenomenally with a 4.9 in the forty and 4.69 in the shuttle. Followed that up with a Linebacker position-best of 8’8″ in the broad jump and a 7.66 in the L-Drill
-He, like his regular season teammates Jackson Vaughn and Jaiden Hill, who both made Honorable Mention, were part of that tough Matawan Husky 13u AYF team this past season
Highlights
-The only class of 2028 prospect to make the 2nd team, I came away very impressed with what I saw out of Nate Walsh Nate Walsh 5’6″ | 160 lbs | LB PA at the camp
-Physically, he’s put together as well as they come on this level. Despite giving up considerable size at just 5-foot-4 and 133-pounds, he played substantially bigger and violently
-Was aware of him ahead of camp, but seeing him play in person solidified it for me. He obviously spends a lot of time training and working on his craft. I know he’s only in seventh-grade but my hang up comes in at size. Perhaps a position change to Safety or Corner on defense now, would benefit him in the long run. Especially if he keeps his ability, but that Linebacker size doesn’t kick in. Time will tell, here.
Highlights
-Personally, one of my favorite kids at the camp because of the way he carried himself and the 110% effort he put in from the moment he walked in the doors. Honestly, the type of kid any high school coach in America would want in their program
-Spoke with him several times at camp expressing that he has ability and work ethic, just needs to find what position he needs to focus on putting his training towards. He’s a bit of a tweener between Linebacker and Defensive Lineman right now
-Zats came to camp as a Linebacker and measured in at 5-foot-10 and 232-pounds. He then popped off a 5.09 in the forty, which was the third fastest at the position. Without knowing scheme or any of that important information about his future high school team, I feel he could become a very, good high school and potential D2/D3 player if he transitioned to a Defensive End
