Some quarterbacks who competed at Prep Redzone Showcases will compete again on Sunday. Here is a list of some of the returners and how they fared this season.
Beierly was the best class of 2025 quarterback at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase last January and had a nice sophomore season at Chaparral.
He completed 60 percent of his passes for 186 yards per game with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. He missed two games due to injury and sometimes shared playing time with a senior.
Beierly should be one of the better quarterbacks at the event this year. He has offers from Hawaii, BYU and Pittsburgh.
Highlights
Guess competed the Prep Redzone Showcase in Northern California last spring. I saw him shortly after at the Orange School District Showcase and was impressed by his command of the offense at a young age.
He completed 70 percent of his passes and had 17 touchdowns with just six interceptions. Guess also ran for 861 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Guess will put up strong numbers in the speed and agility drills on Sunday and he throws better than people expect when they see him.

Kruse is every bit of 6-foot-6 and was the tallest quarterback at last year’s Stock Up Showcase. I am anxious to see if he has hit the weight room a bit and filled out his frame since I last saw him.
He had an up and down junior year with 140 yards per game with 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He is a natural leader and the receivers at the camp liked him last year so it will be fun to see him interact with the other players again.
Highlights
Molina got to start as a sophomore for Beckman this season and hit some growing pains. Beckman doesn’t throw a ton so Molina didn’t get a ton of opportunities and averaged 100 yards per game.
Despite having challenges as a sophomore, Molina is lengthy with a smooth release and has the tools to develop into a very good quarterback. It will be interesting to see him in person and see if he has filled out a bit physically.
Najm was one of the top 10 quarterbacks at the event overall last year and impressed with his arm strength.
Consistency is what I’d like to see from Najm going forward. He has games where he plays like a college level quarterback and games where he makes simple mistakes, and he will be the first to agree with that.
Najm can make challenging throws look easy but sometimes misses the easy layup throws. He is a hard worker and I am excited to see him throw more on Sunday.
