Marek gets off the line of scrimmage quickly and has the ability with his speed to beat defenders deep on go-routes. I like how he will use hesitation to get defensive backs to freeze for a moment so he can create separation. Marek does a good job of stopping his body quickly on curl routes and get in an athletic position to make a catch. Marek has also shown the ability to win contested catches over defenders. He can make diving catches where makes a full dive to haul in the ball. Marek has good play strength and can break tackles after the catch and pick up extra yards for his team. He has very good hands and will catch the ball initially with his hands and then will bring it into his body and secure it.
#7 Joseph McCarthy | QB | 2024 | Hudl
I love that McCarthy will stand tall in the pocket and will not hesitate to throw the ball down the field. He has a very fluid throwing motion and his release is quick and it comes off his hand as a tight spiral. He is a good athlete who can make accurate throws while taking a hit. He has an effective pump fake that really fools defenders. McCarthy has the ability to put the touch on the football and can drop throws right into the receiver’s hands right in stride. I like that he can scramble for yardage and his change of direction allows him to make defenders miss. I love that Petosky designs run plays for McCarthy so he can get to the outside and hurt opposing teams by picking up nice yardage.
#6 CJ Hibbler CJ Hibbler 5'8" | 160 lbs | ATH Petoskey | 2024 State MI | RB/DB | 2024 | Hudl
Hibbler is an explosive kick-returner who only needs a little bit of space to create a big play return. Hibbler has very good speed and puts a lot of pressure on the defense when he gets an end-around due to his speed and ability to cut back and create big plays. Hibbler’s speed and agility allow him to outrun defenders even if they take a proper angle at him. Petosky did a good of getting Hibbler the ball in different ways to maximize his skill set. He is very good in the slot and his speed allowed him to get behind the defense to create a big play touchdown reception. Hibbler will run the ball with physicality and will pickup tough yards after contact for his team.
#10 Brian Pike | WR | 2024 | Hudl
Pike has good size at the receiver position at 6-4, 185 lbs. Like Seth Marek Seth Marek 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Petoskey | 2025 State MI , Pike does a good job of using a hesitation move that gets defenders to pause for a moment that allows him to separate for a big play touchdown. Pike’s size allows him to go up and get balls that are thrown up high, oftentimes over defensive backs for who he has a height advantage. Pike is a good blocker and has the ability to drive defenders out of play with his size and strength. I like how Petosky coaching staff would move him into the slot receiver position to use him as a blocker for designed quarterback runs for Joseph McCarthy.
