A great turnout and an incredible amount of enthusiasm, competition and downright fun is how I would best describe the Pennsylvania Showcase event last night. My first section is on the Offensive Line and who stood out and who was the MVP. This group listed below was very impressive especially considering they amount of defensive lineman that outnumbered them on the evening.

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='255053' first='Lukas' last='Donahue'] Lasalle College Class of 2024

Donahue did not lose a single one on one matchup and did not take one rep off during the period. Not only that he stood out in the individual drills and was at the top or near it for each category. The Lasalle College product has a huge upside as he continues be one of the most sought after recruits in all of Pennsylvania. His blocking technique and steps are nearly perfect, time will only tell when both FBS and FCS schools come offering.

Standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='255048' first='Justin' last='Kutcher'] Danville- Kutcher was very impressive displaying great technique and even rotated on the defensive line for extra reps during the 1 on 1 sessions. Standing at a little over 6'1 the rising junior is sure to make an impact this upcoming season for the Ironmen. Kutcher also tested very well in all categories and like Donahue did not skip one rep during the 1 on 1s.

[player_tooltip player_id='558395' first='Hayden' last='Speece'] Altoona Area- Another rising junior who you can expect to climb the rankings for 2024 soon, Speece was a warrior last night. What impressed me the most is each rep when a defensive lineman was hovering right over him, he didn't back down. Constantly defensive ends and tackles were attempting to bull rush him and the big guy more than stood his ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='606405' first='Carter' last='Sheehan'] Bishop Guilfoyle- Sheehan handled himself quite nicely during the showcase, standing at 6'4 and 250 lbs. of muscle will certainly help. Sheehan had to face a number of speed and power rushers from defensive ends that were bringing it all evening. The rising junior did just fine on his way to a very productive evening.

[player_tooltip player_id='354747' first='Colby' last='Reph'] Northampton- A straight mauler and he had to considering the level of talent he was facing during the showcase. Reph was a bull manning the Center position along Speece as he did more than a adequate job on the 1 on 1 periods. Reph was also impressive with his technique on many occasions even as the night wore on and energy was wearing down in the building. Expect big things out of this young man for the 2023 season on both sides of the football.

[player_tooltip player_id='598897' first='Roman' last='Kane'] Central Catholic- The rising sophomore acquitted himself quite nicely on the night, standing out in many different areas. Kane was a bull moose at guard during the 1 on 1 period displaying great form and power. The Vikings have themselves a good one for next year, do not be surprised to see him standout more as the year progresses.
