David Kludt
David Kludt
Klundt is the definition of a long athlete measuring in at 6’5″. There are not many defensive backs with those kids of measurables. Klundt has a smooth backpedal that allows him to maintain his leverage while his quick feet allow him to transition on deeper routes. Has the ability to change direction and is able to stop-start quickly. Natural hip fluidity allows him to get in and out of his back pedal to make a play on the football. A sure tackler in the open field who isn’t afraid of contact. Has good ball skills that allows him to make a play in the air and good speed to catch up to anyone.
Zyan Crockett
Zyan Crockett
Crockett might be one of the next stars for Skyline as he already possess game breaking ability. As a freshman he played in some big time games for the state champs. Has good speed with a fluid change of direction that allows him to make big plays in the passing game. Used on fly sweeps you can see that he has natural speed and ability to get to the edge of a defense. Smooth pass catching ability that allows him to grab footballs out of the air instead of letting them get into his body. Has the ability to be a big time weapon for Skyline in the years to come.
Thompson was one of the bright lights on a Rocky squad with a ton of D1 talent. A really smooth route runner who is able to get in and out of his breaks to create seperation. Has good top end speed that allows him to take the top off the defense. Natural pass catching hands that allows him to pluck the football out of the air. Has the ability to track the football over his shoulder and make highlight plays. Even though he may not be the tallest player has the ability to climb the ladder and make plays over the top of defenders. Should be one to watch out for this season as he moves into his junior year.
Byrd is next in line to be another top wide receiver for Rocky Mountain. A tall athlete with the ability to climb the ladder over the top of defenders. Has good straight line speed that allows him to be a vertical threat down the field. Plays with good toughness and is developing as a blocker on the edge. Has good hands that allows him to pluck the football out of the air and has strong hands once the ball makes contact. Improving as a route runner that will get more advanced as he ages. Will be one to look out for in the years to come.
Austin Rovig
Austin Rovig
Rovig played almost every meaningful snap for Timberline this season. Tough in the pocket as at times this season he was faced with a lot of pressure. The ability to stand in the pocket and take hits is something that does not go overlooked. Has a strong compact release that allows him to get the football out quickly. Good athleticism as he is able to make plays with his legs through the run game and outside the pocket. Has good timing and anticipation on routes along with the ability to throw with touch. He has good footwork and a natural feel in the pocket that allows him to make defenders miss. Should be one of the top quarterbacks in his area in the years to come.
