Continue ReadingMcKeown is going to be one of the next top passers in the state of Idaho. He is one heck of an athlete that is not only a threat through the air but on the ground as well. Leading one of the top rushing offenses in the state for Post Falls, McKeown was able to attack defenses with his legs all year. The sophomore signal call has good speed that allows him to excel in the zone and power read game. Short compact release that really allows for the football to get out quickly with not a lot of wasted motion. For only being in the 5’11” height range he stands tall in the pocket with a good feel for where rushers are coming from. Is able to really excel when he makes plays off schedule outside of the pocket. Dangerous in the quick passing game with nice touch on his long balls. As he grows in the position he will get better with his timing and his ability to layer throws all over the field.
Joyce is a downhill runner that uses his vision to set up defenders and blocks. A back with a good forward lean that takes on contact without losing a step. Has the ability to punish defenders with a frame that will add good weight. A solid lower half that shows his powerful running style as he does not shy away from contact. Is improving in his ability to play out in space as a route runner along with his ability to catch the football out of the back field. Shows good speed with a nice burst at the line of scrimmage and will continue to grow into his straight line speed. Could really be a game breaker in the years to come for Teton.
Jensen standing at 6’2” already is going to be a dominant force for Kimberly in the years to come. Already possess game breaking ability as he can take the football to the house on any play. Solid, natural and strong pass catching hands that allow him to really grab the football out of the air. His straight line speed is excellent as he is able to take the top off of the defense and really stretch the back end. Has high point ability and shows his willingness to attack the football in the air. Is really starting to understand what it means to be a route runner and has the ability to become elite at it. Physical out on the edge not only with his ability to block but as a bigger bodied wide receiver he is hard to take down in the open field. Jensen should be one to watch in the next two years.
Highlights
McDaniel is an absolute thumper for someone who is not the tallest player on the field. Don’t let his size fool you though because McDaniel can really make his presence known on the football field. He has really good instincts and a quick trigger in the run game. It allows him to slip blockers and make plays in the back field. Has the ability to really play in space and runs well. As he grows in the position his will be able to really improve his knock back ability when taking on offensive lineman. He also shows the ability to cover which is going to be the next step in becoming a more well rounded player for Nampa Christian.
