Dixon was fun to watch during the 2022 season. At 6’1, 260 pounds, he was physical at the point of attack in which he was able to overpower opposing offensive lineman and get into the backfield, many times before the ball was even snapped. His strength is stopping the run and not allowing the back to get any room.
Hall is one of the more athletic defenders we have seen on film. He can jump high and get the interception from his safety position. He looks like a natural at the position as he reads the quarterback’s eyes well on the hash. But that’s not all Hall can do. Need him at punt returner or receiver? He’s your guy. He has the speed to match his athletic ability to where if he finds an open lane, it could be six points for the Cougars.
Stewart is another two way player that can make an impact. At 6’1, 190 pounds, he patrols things in the secondary like a center fielder, whether it’s recognizing the route and picking the ball off or coming up in the hole and making tackles against the run.
Nelson is an up and coming player who had an excellent 2022 season. He times his jumps well to make plays on the ball and reads the quarterback’s eyes. He can also shed blocks to defend the run and make tackles in the hole. He finished the year with 7 INTs, 6 pass deflections, 1 FF and 63 tackles.
