Richard is one of the top backs in the state, and with good reason. He has the perfect combo of speed and power at 5’10, 190 pounds. He explodes in the hole on his runs and glides right by defenders who are trying to tackle him. And the offense he was a part of made it a point to get him the ball, as he ran for 2093 yards and 24 touchdowns. He finished his junior year with All-State and All-Region honors. He currently holds offers from Coastal Carolina, UNC Charlotte and Liberty.

Singletary’s ability to catch the ball out of the backfield was the first thing that stood out when watching him on film. He doesn’t dance in space, he simply gets the yards he needs to help the offense stay on schedule. When we were watching some of his runs, he looked like a bowling ball coming straight at you but you can’t do anything to slow down his momentum. If you try to tag him, that won’t work as he’ll bounce right off you. He also plays a little bit of linebacker and does a great job of taking solid angles to the ball.

Davis is a dynamic runner at the quarterback position at 6’0, 188 pounds. York’s offense in 2022 was built around him having opportunities to make plays with his feet. He can find an opening on the zone read and the next thing you know, he’s in the end zone. But we wouldn’t discount his ability to throw the ball, especially on the run. There were two passes in particular where he rolled out to his left and was able to keep his eyes downfield and make the touchdown throw. It may seem like the play could be dead in the water, but he does a great job of keeping plays alive. He finished with 950 pass yards and 8 TDs along with 1290 rush yards and 25 TDs.
Highlights
We saw Scheidt twice during the regular season last year and the film backs up what we saw: A dual threat quarterback who excels in making the short to intermediate throw. The ball comes out quickly from his hands and he displays good pocket presence in order to make that good throw. Checking in at 6’2, 165 pounds, he’s tough to bring down in the run game and his speed can catch you by surprise.
Brown was one of the most fun receivers we had a chance to keep an eye on during the 2022 season – and it’s why he was added to this batch of rankings. He can take the top off a defense on the deep ball or get you a quick five to 10 yards on an out pattern. His speed when he gets out into the open field is what makes him so dangerous. He can flex outside or play in the slot and find his way open.
Hopkins was a great fit for the Trojans’ Air Raid offense in 2022. Whether he was flexed on the outside or lined up in the slot, he has sure hands and can take the top off the defense. He excels on running routes across the middle and “finding the grass.” He played some quarterback in a backup role and excelled in the zone read game as he has impressive speed. He finished the year with 1407 total yards and 19 TDs.
