DAKOTAS--Who were six more new additions to our Prep Redzone Dakotas 2024 rankings? This list is a prime example why on-the-road live evaluations are my favorite evaluations as the Head Scout for Prep Redzone Dakotas, as the bulk of these new additions come from either the several prospect camps we were at last summer, or we saw a herd of them last fall during the 2022 season. Meet the next six new additions to the Prep Redzone Dakotas 2024 rankings!

Watching Sam's balance around the edge of the field with his footwork shows off sizeable patience and great awareness.

Sam is not a WR prospect you are going to get down on that first contact, as he has a well-built lower body with plenty of durabilities in his arsenal.

His football instincts shed nicely in the Deacon's secondary as well, as he has a well-tuned change of direction and awareness of when that football is going in his direction.

Sam checks in just inside our top 40 prospects in this list of new additions in the Dakotas 2024 class and should have a solid summer on the prospect camp circuit as a prospect that will be playing on Saturdays.

[player_tooltip player_id='447252' first='Carter' last='Luikens'], ATH, Potter County (SD) 2024 Twitter & Tape < 1/2

There is a lot to like in the good twitch Carter has with his footwork and his change of direction, as his mobility remains fluid from the multiple clips of the tape I have watched on him.

Offensively, Carter has another gear of burst once that football gets into his hands into the next level, as he shows a ton of athleticism with his jetting ability on the outside of the football.

You can certainly call on Carter as the swiss-army knife of the Potter County Battlers, which is why we put him in our athlete category in our latest 2024 rankings due to the multi-level versatility he brings on both sides of the ball.

Carter plays with a great chip of physicality and awareness, as he has the skillsets to pull off his blocker quickly to make sure he's the first man to the football on first contact, which is usually the case. Checks into our rankings just inside the Top 85 in 2024.

When I watched Cam live in Fargo Shanley's game against Fargo South this fall, I could not get enough of watching this kid's massive motor he carried for the duration of the game with excellent stamina.

Ahlers is a DE prospect that plays WAY bigger than his measurables will show you (6'0 210), and as a wrestler that wrestles at 220, he's used to going up against the bigger competition in the winter on the mat, and I see Cam as a workhorse this offseason in the Deacons weight room.

Cam is more of a hybrid EDGE rusher and linebacker, as his physicality, he brings, and that sizeable physicality that comes within both position spots set him to play the linebacker spot at the next level likely.

Cam checks in as a new addition just inside our top 45 and is one that I could see skyrocketing upwards in the 2023 season based on the ceiling this young man has as an upcoming senior leader for the Shanley Deacons.

I love watching the great foot speed pop out when you first roll Rizg's tape from the 2022 season, as he has a quick trigger in his release when he steps into his pull-blocking.

He shows off a long stretch in his reach than his measurables (6'0 260) show off as he shows off that length with his angle blocking to maneuver his defender as far away from his quarterback as he can.

From a development standpoint, I think Rizg has some growth this offseason with his technique within his pad level balance and applying that finishing block even stiffer to ensure that defender doesn't have a chance to get back in on the play are two skill sets that come to mind.

Rizg checks in at #73 as a new addition to our Class of 2024 rankings for the Dakotas.

Kaden, by far, was the most dangerous return man I watched in the Midwest this season at live games as he returned three for a touchdown against Fargo South this fall season.

The way Kaden handled those two returns against Fargo South popped him onto our rankings, as Kaden showed off some excellent agility and field awareness with his vision to find the gap in the open field with his developing game instincts.

Regardless if he's on returns or lined up at wide receiver, Kaden has some slippery running ability to challenge the defenders to bring him down to the turf. M

Kaden checks into our 2024 rankings in the #64 spot in the Dakotas. Cannot wait to get more tape on this young man this fall!

Keegan was very likely the Dakota's fastest fullback overall in the 2022 season, and if I had to hand out an award for the hardest working 2024 Dakotas prospect during prospect camp season, it would go to Tea Area's [player_tooltip player_id='447237' first='Keegan' last='DeYoung'].

Since we got him on our radar last Spring at our Prep Redzone Iowa Showcase, Keegan's growth has skyrocketed from his growing skillsets growing nicely into his now 5'10, 190-pound frame.

He's grown most in his balance and vision running the football as he shows excellent patience waiting for the blocks to develop before he hits his hole with all that burst; he's shown off camp after camp and during the 2022 season. Keegan also checks off all my boxes from a character standpoint, as he has that grade-A+ character college programs are going to want in their locker room.

Keegan has also grown a ton with his physicality, as he has that punch-you-in-the-mouth demeanor and quick reactive instincts to quickly send the defender heading into the backfield to the turf.

Keegan checks into our rankings at #48 overall in the 2024 Class in the Dakotas.
