Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati)
Ryan Mechley, WR – Ryan is an outstanding talent. He plays inside and outside receiver and is a go to player on offense. He runs great routes with proper technique and break. He catches everything and can score from anywhere. He is deadly in the screen game. Has the speed to take the top off the coverage. He wins the 50/50 battles. Impressive player worth another look.
Archbishop Hoban (Akron)
William Hicks, FB/LB – William is a throwback to a former era of the hammering Fullback. He is very athletic, fast, and extremely tough. He has a great stance and fires off the snap to his assignment. He keeps great pad level and uses a violent punch. He is very good at keeping his feet moving until the whistle blows. His blocks have the correct leverage on the defenders 99% of the time. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and is fast and twitchy enough to break tackles. He can play other positions on offense and would be a great asset.
New Albany (Columbus)
Caron Pennington, LB/WR – Caron is a good LB with a really high motor. He makes correct reads, defeats blocks well, and can run over the top on outside run with proper leverage. He is a taller player with room to fill out. He plays with his hair on fire and gets to the ball with relentless speed everytime. He drops quickly and cancels underneath routes. He is a good blitzer who gets skinny in the gap and bends well back to the QB. Take a good look at him on film.
Oak Harbor
Lukas Lieske, QB – Lukas is a very good small school QB. He has a presence in the pocket and good mechanics. He gets his hips into the throw with good arm snap. He is accurate with his throws and has a really nice deep ball. He is intelligent and reads the progressions well. He is athletic and makes defenders miss. He has a lot of toughness and stands in the pocket, under duress, and delivers missiles. Take another look at him on film.
Watkins Memorial
Colton Middendorf, OL/DL – Colton is a beast of a two way lineman. He is very aggressive on both sides of the ball and plays with violence. At DL he is flexible in his stance and explodes off the snap. He stays in his gaps and rips off quickly. He runs plays down on the outside. He tackles really well with hip drive and wrap. His pass rush is almost unblockable. He uses the push pull and bull rush very effectively. On offense he plays Left Tackle and has great technique. His drive blocks pancake defenders. He moves well laterally and runs defenders to the sidelines. He is a good pass blocker and uses his massive frame to his advantage. He punches violently and keeps good posture with square shoulders. Take another look at him on film; certainly worth it.
