Leonhard became the starting quarterback for Bedford mid-way through the season. He had a great game in the upset victory over Saline. This was the first time Bedford had beaten Saline since 2013. You would never guess that Leonhard was only a Freshman, watching him play. I watched him really take command of this offense and his confidence and poise were apparent. Bedford’s coaching staff will be looking forward to having Leonhard run the offense in 2023.
#11 Regan Plank | Chelsea | LB/WR | 2024 | Hudl
Plank is an outstanding receiver. I love the way he attacks the football and snatches it quickly out of the air. He has a tremendous feel for the receiver position and knows how to get open. Plank is very strong and can break tackles and gain extra yardage. He is a good linebacker as well who was a tackling machine all year and especially in the games I watched him. I like his game a lot and enjoyed watching him compete this year. He will be a key returner to the Chelsea team next year.
#24 Tyson Hill | Chelsea | RB | 2024 | Hudl
Hill is a very patient runner who does a nice job of letting his blocks get set up and then shooting through running lanes. He is good out of the backfield and can catch the football. He has a strong build and has a good balance to stay upright through contact. Hill had a big game against Pickney this year and had a late rushing touchdown to help put the game out of reach. You have to believe Chelsea will be excited to give Hill the ball often once again next season.
#4 Jadyn Walker | Portage Northern | WR/DB | 2024 | Hudl
I watched Jadyn Walker play against Battle Creek Lakeview, earlier in the season. Walker made a statement early in this football game with a 59-yard touchdown reception. He has good size at 6-3, 190 lbs. He is a good route runner who has good change of direction. He has good speed and the ability to fly past defenders. Portage Northern liked to run screens with Walker to get him in open space and utilize his ability to make defenders miss. Walker has good body control and can quickly settle his feet and make catches under control. I like Walker’s game and look forward to seeing him play next year.
#11 Caid Fox | Saline | WR | 2024 | Hudl
Fox had a great year for Saline and really shined at the end of the season. Fox played great in the playoff game against Belleville. He had multiple big plays in the game that kept Saline in it. Fox has good speed and does a great job of getting open on deep balls. He is a precise route runner who does a great job of creating separation. Fox is a very good athlete who has no problem making adjustments to balls that are thrown slightly behind him. Saline returns star quarterback CJ Carr CJ Carr 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Saline | 2024 State MI , and having Fox coming back will be critical for Saline’s offense.
