Most people know of the two big names – CJ Carr CJ Carr 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Saline | 2024 State MI and Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI . Though, the next few QBs have boundless potential as well. This article will outline three QBs that I’ll be studying very closely over these next few weeks.
There’s a lot of opinions out on Nance, and it’s difficult to put them all together. He’s a dynamic Kyler Murray type passer, and he has a ton of weapons around him. I know he’s worked very hard throughout last offseason, and he put West Bloomfield in a great spot heading into the playoffs. He had a poor playoff game against Cass Tech, but name me a QB who has played Cass Tech and hasn’t thrown an interception.
There are many strengths and weaknesses to his game. He’s a flawed player, but I still like his ceiling. I don’t think D1’s will come calling anytime soon, but he’s a potential college QB. I don’t think I’ll have Nance rise or fall too far in the rankings, but wether he’ll rise or fall, time will tell.
Whatever full West Bloomfield games are available to be, I’ll watch.
Highlights
Wolf came into the season with sky-high expectations, and for the most part, he’s met them. Amazing fundamental player with top-notch accuracy. He won the Prep Redzone Showcase MVP last Spring, and honestly it was an easy pick. I see grand potential in Wolf, but the thing is, he didn’t make the D5 championship, and I don’t think he performed wonderfully in his final game.
I have no doubt Wolf will continue to improve, which is one of his strongest attributes. I’m confident he’ll play college football as well.
I’ll say right now- I’m not comfortable with Wolf jumping anyone ahead of him as of now. He could fall a spot, or stay where he is in the rankings. It will be a tough choice.
Highlights
Currently, Colton is due for a rankings bump. There are QBs currently ranked ahead of him that may run a more attractive offense to colleges, but I think Colton still outperformed some of them. It’s difficult to rank a Veer QB as a typical QB, since players like Colton may only pass the ball a couple times per game.
Seaholm had a huge bounce-back year, and from what I saw of Colton during must-pass situations, he threw the ball well. Of course, he can run the ball incredibly well. I’m confident Colton will break the top 100, but I wouldn’t expect any incredible rise just yet.
I’ll be reviewing some Seaholm games soon.
