Malachi Washington
Malachi Washington
Mr. Washington has been a man on a mission this entire season and post season, in this matchup he finished with 47 carries for 273 rushing yards and 6 TDs. Yes, you read that right. This young man is a workhorse that is a downhill style runner playing through contact and keeping his feet driving to break weak grab tackles in the process. There isn’t enough that I can say about this young man’s ability as his film speaks for itself. If you’re looking for a downhill hard runner halfback that’s rushed for over 3,000 yards this fall look no further as Mr. Washington fits that bill to a tee. Whomever decides to offer this young man is going to get one heck of a player.
Tq Webb
Tq Webb
Mr. Webb finished the day with 5 receptions for 124 yards and almost ended up getting into the endzone one one of those receptions. Here, he was able to win over the top on a fly route and use his foot quicks to break a long run before being brought down inside the 5 at the end of the 2nd. His fast feet at the line of scrimmage is one to watch as he can use this to stack the defender and use a speed cut at the top of the route creating separation on the play. He can also work back to the ball which is a trait to watch moving forward as he has 2 years left in his HS career.
Mr. Newby-Holesome is one heck of a fullback that is used as a lead blocker creating running lanes for his teammate all day long. He does so by jolting defenders upright with his strong initial punch creating a lane and can get to 2nd level blocks to tie up the LBs. On defense, he did a good job shooting gaps in run support to plug the holes and force plays to go outside the tackles. This allowed for his teammates to rally to the ball if he wasn’t able to secure the tackle as he finished with 4 tackles on the day. If you use a fullback in your offense, you won’t find a better fullback that can block as good as this young man can. He also flashes his hands to be involved in the air attack if you wanted to slip him on play action shots downfield.
Highlights
Gary Rutherford
Gary Rutherford
Mr. Rutherford had a good defensive performance finishing the day with 11 tackles and 2 PBUs. This young man did so by staying on receiver’s hip pocket and getting his hand in the basket for PBUs. He also was able to work his way through traffic on rub routes to stay on the receiver’s hip taking away the fade slot option for the opposing QB. Not to mention he can come down in run support to make tackles both in the box and on the perimeter. A good potential prospect that fits the mold of the long technical defensive backs that coaches seem to want nowadays on their roster.
Mr. Hearn finished the game with 2 receptions for 12 yards and 2 KORs for 147 yards. In the return game, this young man was able to break a 73 yard return and a 78 yard return setting his team up in great starting field position. He did so by using his vision to find the alley and use his foot quicks to gain a step on the kickoff defenders until he got brought down last second both times in the redzone. He also got in for a 2 point conversion using a toe tap for the completion. It was a quite night for him on offense but in the return game he made sure to make his mark.
Matheno Fuller
Matheno Fuller
Mr. Fuller is an offensive lineman that has a good frame standing at 6’3 315 that was a menace blocking in-line. This is all done with his strong punch at the point of attack to jolt defenders upright before either drive blocking them 4+ yards downfield or putting them in the dirt. He can also wash defensive lineman down creating lanes for his ball carrier to hit. In terms of his pass protection, he does flash his ability to mirror the rushing defender to keep the pocket clean for his QB. Currently holds no offers.
Honorable Mention
Eli McFadden 23′ DB
Frank Odom 23′ RB
Valentino Gist Valentino Gist 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Peoria | 2024 IL 24′ QB
