St Xavier   Jack McClatchey, WR, 2024 - Jack is an outstanding talent at Receiver. He aligns in multiple places and makes plays down the field. He is tall and filled out. He runs really good routes deep down the field. He gets open in the zones and beats man off the snap. He is a long strider and separates on the top the coverage. He attacks the ball in the air and gets vertical after the catch. He is a good blocker and finishes. He can score every time he touches the ball. Worth a good look on film. He plays on the LOS, in the box, and aligned in a traditional SS spot. He is a great blitzer on the edge on 3rd down. He bends well back to the QB and knocks down the hands of bigger tackles quickly. He is a good finisher at the QB. Inside the box his trigger is fast and he makes plays quickly at the LOS. He tackles really well with aggression. At SS he aligns over number 2 and deep. He is patient in his backpedal and transitions well on fade routes. He is really fast and stays in phase. Impressive player with 4.35 GPA. He plays inside receiver and is deadly in the seams. He runs great deep and intermediate routes and can take a hit. He attacks the ball in the air and gets vertical quickly. He is very good at getting open in the void and can beat man coverage off the snap. On defense he plays SS and is patient in his backpedal. He stays deep and transitions well. He triggers fast on run plays and tackles well with leverage on the ball. Great player with tremendous upside in 2024. He is tall and has room on his frame to be a beast. He is very athletic and aggression is off the charts. On offense he comes off the snap with aggression, a wide base, and violent hands. He finishes all blocks with his feet moving. He is great at double teams as the drive blocker. He is versatile and plays multiple positions on the OL. On defense he aligns in multiple spots and dominates at times. Comes off the snap with violent hands and punches up and through the blocker. Maintains his gaps and reads blocks well. He makes great tackles on ball too. He runs hard over the top on ball away. He is relentless in his pass rush with good bend and finish. He has a couple of good moves with proper set up. Take a good look at him on film. He is fast, athletic, and runs aggressively. He has good patience to the hole and burst through it. He gets up on the second and third level quickly. He is a 1 cut runner with good wiggle in the open field. He runs behind his pads and can run you over. Blocks and catches well out of the backfield.
