The Glenville versus Wyoming matchup was interesting to me because they were two teams that featured very similar styles of play. Both were run heavy offenses that wanted to possess the ball and control the clock. Both defenses were physical and and flew to the ball. The pads were popping for both defenses. Wyoming was able to keep the game within striking distance until the 9:42 mark of the 3rd quarter when Glenville scored and added the 2 point conversion to make it 26-6. That would end up being the final score.

2024 RB [player_tooltip player_id='414701' first='D'shawntae' last='Jones'] 5'10 220- Jones ran the ball 28 times for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jones is a physical running back who has great vision and cutting ability. He's unusually nimble and explosive for a back of his size. He knows when to try to go wide and when to turn it up and get yards. He was the key cog in Glenville's offense all night long.

2024 WR/TE [player_tooltip player_id='284618' first='Damarion' last='Witten'] 6'4 205- Witten finished with 3 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Witten had one of the plays of the weekend where he went high for a deep jump ball and snagged it out of the air for a touchdown. Witten has great length, athleticism, body control, and ball skills. He does a good job of setting up his routes and creating separation. He's a future big time power 5 player.

2024 CB [player_tooltip player_id='284542' first='Bryce' last='West'] 6'0 180- West led the Tarblooders in tackles with 13 and also had a hit on the QB as well. West also did a good job of being physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage and has the speed and athleticism to blanket them down the field. West has interest from many high level P5 programs including Ohio State.

He finished with 9 tackles and a sack from the defensive tackle position. He's explosive and violent in his get-off. He can win with quickness or power and does a good job of ripping and disengaging to make plays. He always plays to the whistle. '

2023 RB [player_tooltip player_id='92614' first='CJ' last='Hester'] 5'11 190- Hester finished his incredible high school career Saturday night in the State finals at Tom Benson Stadium. He would do so with one final 100+ yard performance finishing with 102 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Hester who's headed to Western Michigan was bottled up on several plays but broke a big 80-yard touchdown that would be Wyoming's only score on the evening. Hester is a strong runner who uses his blocks well and then explodes for yards.
