He throws a catchable ball and does a great job of feeling and escaping the rush. In the run game he's very good at executing the zone read, where he's very decisive and is able to make the defense pay for not staying true to their responsibilities. When in the pocket he does a good job of working through his reads, and if nothing is there, he's ready to tuck it and run. Clark would rush for 2 touchdowns and throw for another.

In the second quarter he showed good hands and ball awareness to intercept a pass of the hands of a Hoban receiver. After catching the future Toledo Rocket put his speed and athleticism on display by taking it 90 yards for the touchdown.

He's a great blend of explosiveness, athleticism and power. He uses his blockers well and uses his patience and tempo to lull defenders and then explodes through the defense. It takes a minimum of 3-4 tacklers to bring him now on any given play and Sperling simply won't go down. Sperling finished with an incredible 359 yards on 40 carries and 3 touchdowns. He will be headed play at Buffalo next fall.

When he identifies the play, he fires and he's looking to blow things up. He has decent length and looks every bit of his listed 220 pounds. He's going to be a player to keep an eye on this offseason.
