Michael McClellan Michael McClellan 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Johns Creek | 2024 GA – 2024 – QB – Johns Creek
I have been tracking McClellan since last season, and I can confidently say that he is a far better QB this season than he was last year, and he is only getting better. Bigger QB prospect sitting around 6’3 200 pounds and is surprisingly elusive in the pocket, looks comfortable while throwing on the run. McClellan has an extremely strong arm and when all things line up, there is not a throw on the field that he isn’t capable of making. He can be a little jumpy at times when he throws, but for the most part, he makes sure all cleats are in the ground when he fires the ball down the field. His best attribute is his ability to mix up arm angles to give himself just enough space to toss the ball into tight windows. Has a longer release, but the ball comes out with really good spin and trajectory depending on the pass. All of his mistakes are coachable, and you can’t teach good size with a strong arm. I’ve got my eye on McClellan, I think he could turn into a breakout player in 2024 now that he has a year of starting experience under his belt.
Ethan Long – 2025 – QB – Dalton
Obviously young QB that is still growing, but he certainly has plenty of tools and shows some high upside. Gunslinger style QB that almost looks more comfortable making plays outside the pocket, where he can flash his mobility and whip the ball downfield to receivers streaking across the field. However, he also shows the ability to stand in the pocket and get the ball out quickly to open receivers over the middle of the field. You wouldn’t think it by looking at him, but he has a surprisingly strong arm and shows the ability to make throws to all levels of the field. Along with his physical attributes, Dalton runs some modern schemes on offense, so he will have 4 years of playing in an offense with college and pro concepts. Long is still young and growing as an athlete, but he has some traits that make him a prospect worth tracking over the next few seasons.
Lee Brock – 2024 – ATH – Creekview
Versatile and energetic prospect that I have seen in person a few times. Has a smaller wiry frame, but he plays with outstanding body control and is very physical. At WR, he can get down the field in a hurry and can change direction with ease, making him a good route runner. Where he really stands out is his focus and physicality when reeling in the ball. For a smaller receiver, he can certainly go up through contact and highpoint the ball, he also makes some big-time catches while contorting his body. At DB, where I project him, he is a true striker from the safety spot that can lay some devastating blows on ball carriers. Those ball skills also translate to DB. Along with his efforts on offense and defense, he is also a fairly productive return man. You wouldn’t tell by looking at him, but Brock is a very physical prospect with some serious wheels. Look for him to take another step forward as a senior.
Jaron Green – ATH – 2024 – Johns Creek
Versatile and rangy prospect that can play all over the field, but I project him as some OLB hybrid. Green has a long and lanky build. He uses those long strides to eat up turf and get around the field in a hurry, and he uses those long arms to be pesky in man coverage and wrap-up ball carriers. He is effective as a blitzer off the edge, winning with his speed and explosive first step. Very good tackler that is able to get low on the ball carrier and drive them backward with his legs. Green would benefit greatly in a defense that allowed him to roam and play positionless, as he is able to cover a lot of grass and tackle well in space. Green is yet another senior sleeper with an intriguing skillset.
Neil Sledge – 2023 – OL – Ola
Senior sleeper on the OL in Georgia that has a lot to offer. First of all, he stands at 6’6 315, which alone should stand out to college coaches that come across his film. For a bigger guy, he is incredibly explosive and athletic, showing the ability to shoot to the second level in a hurry. As a pass blocker, he is pretty twitchy and has a good pass set, which is another example of his rare athleticism. Mindset is important when it comes to linemen, and Sledge is a violent blocker who is always keeping his eyes downfield to find somebody to get his hands on. With his athleticism and the power to move the pile and drive defenders out of the play, Sledge is a prospect that doesn’t get enough attention at all on the trail, but should. I am sure there are a lot of schools that could use a big, athletic body on the offensive line, and Sledge fits that mold perfectly.
