In-depth analysis of the top performing players from the Fall.

2023 6'4 240 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='90668' first='Ty'Sean' last='Helm'] - Archbishop Carroll

[player_tooltip player_id='90668' first='Ty'Sean' last='Helm'] led the Carroll Lions to a WCAC Metro conference championship this season, and he put up the best numbers and performances of his career along the way. Helm threw for more than 1200 yards this Fall, and he ended the season with a cumulative QBR average of 93. His touchdown to interception ratio was solid with a 13:4 out of 65 total completions, and that's without mentioning his dynamic rush attack. Helm added more than 300 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing for the Lions, and his elite dual-threat abilities are a huge reason for Carroll's success in 2022.

Helm absolutely proved himself as one of the top performing dual-threat QBs in the area, and it's clear that his size and athleticism will be very beneficial for him at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='90668' first='Ty'Sean' last='Helm'] will make a huge impact on whichever program he chooses to attend. He's an incredible football talent with a lot of upside, and his football IQ is absolutely off the charts. You'd be hard pressed to find a football player more committed to helping his team win than [player_tooltip player_id='90668' first='Ty'Sean' last='Helm'].

Highlights: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12782311/639b4f34d45e5f0994f2fd5e

2023 6'6 225 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='90682' first='Nyckoles' last='Harbor'] - Archbishop Carroll

[player_tooltip player_id='90682' first='Nyckoles' last='Harbor'] is one of the most highly recruited high school football players in the nation, and there's extremely good reason for that fact. Every single time he touches the ball is a scoring opportunity, and he plays two ways and dominates on both sides of the football. There's quite literally zero doubt in my mind that [player_tooltip player_id='90682' first='Nyckoles' last='Harbor'] will achieve excellence at the next level. The only question is- at what position? Harbor is phenomenal everywhere, and, he will thrive anywhere. Whether it's: defensive-end, outside linebacker, defensive back, or wide receiver.

The five star pass catcher hauled-in about 500 total yards, and a touchdown about every three touches this season. He dominated even in double coverage, and defenses at the high school level simply could not deal with his talent and ability. [player_tooltip player_id='90682' first='Nyckoles' last='Harbor']'s presence was essential to Carroll's incredible success in 2022, and there's no doubt in my mind that whichever school signs him instantly becomes more competitive because of him. [player_tooltip player_id='90682' first='Nyckoles' last='Harbor'] is a game changer in every sense, and, if you don't know his name already then it's probably too late to sign him. He's next level dominant!

Highlights: https://twitter.com/Nyck1k/status/1584534494106640384?s=20&t=zwz11kTIEXGfPd5Z6wxGgg

2024 6'5 175 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='249086' first='Frankie' last='Weaver'] - Good Counsel

The 1st team All-WCAC starting quarterback, [player_tooltip player_id='249086' first='Frankie' last='Weaver'], played phenomenally well this season, and he proved that he's one of the most resilient young men both on and off the football field. Even in the wake of personal tragedy, Weaver still managed to put up elite numbers this Fall, and he led his team to one of the top 2 seeds in the WCAC playoffs. Weaver threw for nearly 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022, and the Good Counsel Falcons finished the year ranked #4 in Maryland with an 8-3 overall record. With [player_tooltip player_id='249086' first='Frankie' last='Weaver'] under center, the Good Counsel Falcons have an extremely bright future heading into next year. The Falcons are in premier position to compete for a WCAC title in 2023, and [player_tooltip player_id='249086' first='Frankie' last='Weaver'] has everything to do with that fact.

Highlights: https://t.co/OtqHRzus7Q

2023 6'0 180 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='348835' first='Robert' last='Stevens III'] - DeMatha

The WCAC named [player_tooltip player_id='348835' first='Robert' last='Stevens III'] 2nd team All-Conference defensive back this season, and he absolutely deserves the honor given how elite he played in 2022. Stevens also receives my Hit of the Year Award for his hit against Good Counsel. The link to the hit is copied below, and his outstanding speed, technique, and anticipation are all on full display in this highlight reel clip. Robert Stevens is an outstanding player in the defensive secondary, and he absolutely has the potential to line-up at free safety during his collegiate career. Stevens has offers from D1 programs such as Stony Brook, Stone Hill, and New Hampshire University. After his elite performance this season, there's no doubt in my mind that more D1 offers will be rolling in for [player_tooltip player_id='348835' first='Robert' last='Stevens III']. He's a next level player with an extremely high ceiling, and I am very excited to watch his career blossom in college.

Highlights: https://t.co/iTezaQTpCj

Hit of the Year: https://twitter.com/Stevens3_/status/1597778178696654848?s=20&t=a-R9D9D9_4SG3qcRCWCu9A

2025 6'0 170 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='273398' first='Tariq' last='Hayer'] - St. John's

[player_tooltip player_id='273398' first='Tariq' last='Hayer'] is already one of the most highly recruited defensive backs in the nation, as he already has offers from D1 power five conference schools such as West Virginia, Penn State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Maryland and more. Hayer averaged an interception every other game this Fall, and he even scored on a pick six against Chaminade-Madonna (FL). The 2nd team All-WCAC defensive back also delivered a major turnover in the championship game for the Cadets. [player_tooltip player_id='273398' first='Tariq' last='Hayer'] is as elite a defensive back as there is in the class of 2025, and his achievements are more than impressive considering that he's only a Sophomore. There are very few players in the country who're as dynamic and talented at their positions as [player_tooltip player_id='273398' first='Tariq' last='Hayer'] is at defensive back. There's no question that the St. John's defense will continue to dominate with Hayer in the secondary, and defensive secondary scouts everywhere must know his name if they don't already. He's one of the top defensive players in the DMV's 2025 class.

Highlights: https://t.co/k44OsWMjBY
