<p>The strong-arm junior gunslinger shined bright on the field, throwing for over 3,400 yards and almost 40 touchdowns.</p>

<p><strong>First Team - [player_tooltip player_id='248046' first='Drew' last='Kluender'] - Woodbury Central - Junior</strong></p>

<p>Not many in the state can match what [player_tooltip player_id='248046' first='Drew' last='Kluender'] did this past fall. He threw for 3,419 yards with 37 touchdowns, completing almost 60 percent of his passes with just nine interceptions among his 335 attempts. Kluender helped Woodbury Central reach the state semifinals before running into Grundy Center. </p>

<p><strong>Second Team - [player_tooltip player_id='320787' first='Colin' last='Gordon'] - Grundy Center - Junior</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='320787' first='Colin' last='Gordon'] shined bright under center for Grundy Center this past year, throwing for over 2,000 yards with 25 touchdowns. He completed nearly 70 percent of his passes with a quarterback rating of 160.4, leading the Spartans to the state title with a convincing 27-0 victory over West Hancock.</p>

<p><strong>Third Team - Kyle Sternberg - AHSTW - Senior</strong></p>

<p>When you can finish off an entire season as a starting quarterback without throwing an interception, that is something impressive. Kyle Sternberg of AHSTW did just that, and not by only throwing 30 or so passes. He was 105 of 158 for 1,688 yards with 24 touchdowns and zero picks.</p>

<p><strong>Honorable Mention</strong></p>

<p>A future University of Iowa baseball player, Mason City Newman's [player_tooltip player_id='24024' first='Max' last='Burt'] had his best season to date on the gridiron with 25 touchdowns and over 1,800 yards. Braden Hess of Lawton-Bronson tossed 23 touchdowns as a junior, while North Linn's [player_tooltip player_id='246724' first='Tate' last='Haughenbury'] threw for almost 1,400 yards with 17 scores, completing 65 percent of his passes. Alburnett's Mason Neighbor had over 2,000 yards and 28 TDs with just five picks.</p>
