At 6’1, 295 lbs and running a 4.97 40 yd dash, he possesses an excellent combination of size and speed. He tore his ACL this fall but is expected to make a full recovery in time for the 2023 season. He plays primarily as a DT. Against the run, he uses his excellent play strength to stack the OG at the point of attack before shedding the block. He quickly locates the RB and makes the tackle behind the LOS for a TFL. Against the pass, he uses his combination of speed and power to defeat the attempted block from the OT. He shows solid closing speed in pursuit and forces the QB to pass the ball earlier than anticipated leading to an incompletion.
This season, Freddie helped the Padua Franciscan Bruins to an 8-win season, advance to the 4th round of the playoffs and average 26.9 points per game. He is an outstanding run blocker as he crosses the formation and uses his excellent play strength and use of hands while generating movement at the point of attack against EDGE defenders creating a huge hole for the RB. He is a great route runner as he separates from slot DB at the top of his route. He shows good hands as he makes the catch with his hands away from his body. After the catch, he uses his good athletic ability to outrun DB for a TD.
In 2022, Austin helped the Pickerington Central Tigers to a 9-win season, advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs and average 26.8 points per game. He plays as a C. While run blocking, he delivers a powerful punch to the frame of the DT before driving his man off the ball. He shows excellent physical toughness and play strength as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. He also shows good athletic ability as he is quick to the 2nd level before driving out the LB.
In 2022, Diore helped the Gahanna Lincoln Golden Lions to a 13-win season, average 31.4 points per game and advance to the Division I Semifinal. He shows solid vision as he finds the open hole. He displays elite contact balance breaking tackles from LB with ease. Once in the secondary, he accelerates to top speed quickly and uses his very good play speed to outrun all defenders on a long TD run. He is excellent in pass pro. He locates the blitzing LB, squares up and uses his great play strength, physical toughness and use of hands as delivers a powerful punch to the frame of the LB sending him to the ground.
